Octonauts Octopod playset is £23.97 from asda, I'm sure someone here was asking about this before.

mustbetimetochange · 09/10/2012 19:11

I've just bought 3 personalised books for the DCs for Christmas from Living Social for £17 - they look fab and reviews are great - the link below is as recommended by me (gives me money hurray), or if you look on the living social website - they are in national deals.

Some bargains on the ELC site. I have ordered the wooden rescue centre for 70 pounds reduced from 140.

Also tempted by the build it set but resisting for now!

NorbertDentressangle · 09/10/2012 19:18

The BBC Shop have lots of cheap DVDs -I've linked to the childrens ones but there are lots of comedy ones too eg. Mitchell & Webb Series 1 for £2.35, Mighty Boosh £3.49 etc

fuzzpig · 09/10/2012 19:25

Oh gosh thisthread - we had been talking about the build it set the other day as it would've been £32 with the 20% off, which was a bit much... but £20? Very tempting!

thisthreadwilloutme · 09/10/2012 19:28

I know fuzzpig I almost want it to go out of stock to make my decision for me!

OhTheConfusion · 09/10/2012 19:35

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but...

The Book People online are doing TEN Julia Donaldson books for £10!!! Free delivery if you spend over £25.

thisthreadwilloutme · 09/10/2012 19:45

I seem to have ordered the build it set! It's either going away till his birthday or my dm can give it him for Christmas!

MegBusset · 09/10/2012 19:52

Build It is evil stuff, I've a binbag full in the garage from when I thought it was a good idea for DS1's third birthday!

No email from Boden yet...

PoppyWearer · 09/10/2012 19:55

Wooden toy kitchen from Asda for £35.

This is mentioned on a thread in Chat and I've copied it over here. Seems like a good deal?

thisthreadwilloutme · 09/10/2012 19:58

Oh no is it rubbish Meg? It gets good reviews online. Oh we'll might return it.

thisthreadwilloutme · 09/10/2012 19:59

*well

fuzzpig · 09/10/2012 20:01

What didn't you/your DC like about it meg? I think DS will like it and I know the nursery children liked it.

SminkoPinko · 09/10/2012 20:04

Some toy bargains at Asda

milkymocha · 09/10/2012 20:28

Any ELC codes floating about please? Smile

LaTrucha · 09/10/2012 20:33

Toy kitchen - that's dd sorted, thanks!

MistressIggi · 09/10/2012 20:37

Hello, planning a Boots shop - apart from the 3 for 2 offers, do they ever do discounts worth waiting for?
Also off to try another MB shop!

ChristmasKate · 09/10/2012 20:39

mustbe the site you linked to is down at the moment but I did add my details without it asking what book or personalised name I wanted.

How does it work, do they take payment details and then confirm your choice of book etc?

mustbetimetochange · 09/10/2012 20:46

Yes Kate - you buy it now from living social - then they email you a voucher code - then you order. I've mostly used groupon, and they've always been fine.

oreocrumbs · 09/10/2012 20:47

MistressIggi, they do a star offer every week - this week is the boss perfume set reduced from £60 ish to £30. If you look through the catalogue at the big £50/£60 gift sets (last years included Champneys, Soap and Glory, Ted Baker, FCUK) they will probably all be dropped to around half price for a week.

So if you are planning to buy any of these then it is worth waiting. However I don't think they include them in the 3 for 2, so I would buy your planned 3 for 2 and just keep an eye on each weeks offer.

PoppyWearer · 09/10/2012 20:50

Have now bought some MORE toys, from Asda this time. Couldn't resist the wooden toy shop. We have a makeshift shop at the moment, this one will be much better - and hugely cheaper than the Great Little Trading one.

MistressIggi · 09/10/2012 20:50

Thanks, Oreo. I'll do that. Never want to make a move now without checking this thread!

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 09/10/2012 21:00

For anyone who has ordered the wooden kitchen from asda, we bought my dd it last year and she loves it. It's great for the price, my 3 and 1 year old both play with it every day.

I'm considering buying the wooden doll house but I'm not sure whether I should go for that one or wait and see if the elc mansion one goes on sale.
