Hello everyone.
Mrs, Give me a few days and I'll get one of the CW tablets out and have a look. I'm not sure how good they'll be.
Hurry up with those lists!
Glad to hear the storm wasnt too bad for you Seven, that lady had a lucky escape it seems. I recommend Arther Chrsitmas for a good Christmas DVD.
giraffe I always end up doing patch up jobs towards the end too, I never get enough paper. I'll might have to get another pack just to make sure this year.
Mama Glad to hear you've been busy with work, it was a different story for you this time last year.
Get out your decorations and let us know what colours you have - I'm sure between us all we can think of a few themes.
I miss stocking fillers - I might do one this year...but then again....I don't know yet.
My tree is coming on the 26th of Novemeber but won't be up for a couple of days as there's a couple of things that will need doing first. Mama, if you mention my name when you order your tree, we will both be put in a raffle where we could both win a tree every year for life. PM me when you do it and I'll give you my real name.
Seven, I would love to go and Pick out my own tree but I cant drive and have no way of getting it back. They have been brilliant for the past two years though. The brown paper idea sounds lovely...I'll have to remember that when I run out of paper again.
I can't believe I'm not finished yet, I'm usually done by now
...mind you, there's only DD to buy for really...and the two main presents. Urgh.
Silver and cream are fine , most of my decorations are clear, white, silver or cream. With the odd bit of red and gold and wood thrown in.
Well. I'm pissed off. My dryer has develpoed a fault and I can't figure out what it is. I thought it was the PCB so ordered a new one but that's not it, so it may be the thermastats...easy enough, but just didn't want to spend the money. If it's not those then I'm going to have to call out for an engineer as I'll be stumped...I've checked everything.
I've broken one of my candle holders, so that's another one that needs replacing and more expense.
My boiler deveolped a small leak, but the heating engineers from Gloworm wouldn't touch it until it's fixed, I thought that was their job..you know...as heating engineers for boilers...but no. So I've had to call a local plumber. Turns out he's actually a heating engineer, found the fault, replaced the washer and only charged me £45 for it..AND....he'll service it for £50. He now has a new regular customer.
Oh, and I broke my vase today when the iron fell on it in the cupboard...I only got that earlier in the year as well. Hurmph.
So all in all nothing major. Lucky really. Thanks to it being Halloween last night we went out to avoid it all (autistic ds hates it and it scares him) so went to Pizza hut as a treat for dd (cheeseburger pizza..it was quite nice really!) and then we saw Cloudy With Meatballs 2....OMG..it's brilliant. We're going to the circus on Saturday after picking up half price tickets and while we are out and about, calling in at the pub that's cose to there to see if they are doing a fireworks display (must remember ear defenders)..so we may do that on Monday.
Does anyone have any plans for the weekend?
