45 days

Finally decided on an advent calendar for DS. Can't find time be arsed to create my own this year so I got this here instead. Will still add bits and bobs like fake snow around the houses to make it really Christmassy. And then just fill it with chocolate, lollipops and so on as I got enough tiny tat flying around the house.

All presents bought now, including DH. Although knowing me, I'll still get more things anyway. Someone stop me!!!

Christmas scents are already being burned in the house, the tree is reordered for the 7th, eggnog recipie found and written out. Everything I have bought so far already wrapped and written. Cards bought and ready to write out.

Remaining food and presents bookmarked - just need ordering when I get the money together (skint week as 4 bills due out this week).

Just need to find DD's birthday presents now.

Yay to name change! I'm in the same dilemma as last year, but will think up something.

Don't know how big the advent calendar will be, chesty, ordered it yesterday. I got two possible places for it though, depending on how much room I need. Will report back once it is here.

I've registered my namechange so no one else can nab it, but will namechange in December.

The advent calendar arrived today, but haven't looked at it yet as DS is awake. But will report back later.

Neighbours have put their outside lights up! They are always super early and me and DH have a little bet going on. We mark a date in the calendar and whoever is closest can choose the next take-away. My date was 17th Nov, his was 24th so I win! He is on his way to the chippie

Oh, and the calendar is sweet, but can see it lasting a year only. I suppose there wasn't more to be expected as it is cardboard and only £3 delivered. But yes, it is cute. Small enough to not take over the house, but also big enough for a piece of chocolate (thinking of Kinder mini size chocs) to go in.

Six weeks, ladies, six weeks

I'm starting to panic. I am waiting for four parcels that should have been here by now, all presents. I just want them to arrive, so I know they are here with me and safe. Argh!

I also waiting on some deliveries, including something that a pal was meant to bring over from the US but had to cancel because of Sandy, so not sure if that will even get here. 37 days to go - loads of time!

Only 37 days? I need to have all presents at home, ready to be wrapped waaaay before that!

Made a call today to one of the presents for DH. There is only one shop in the UK to sell it. Told the guy my concern and he said that the supplier promised to bring them in before the end of the month and they will send it out straight to me. He'd better be right, I need this present!

Other worry is Amazon Germany delivery. Was dispatched in two parcels, both same day. The first one arrived Wednesday, no sign of the other one yet. Surely, them being dispatched same day it should have been here. Really worried, argh!

Fingers crossed all the deliveries arrive. Yours from the US sounds just as nail biting.

DM ordered a game from Amazon and two weeks later still hadn't arrived, we contacted them and they sent out another that came in two days

Need to do some more wrapping but have sinus infection/flu/vomit thing going on.....nice!
