Found any Bargains?

Thought it might be helpful for us to list where we may have come across any bargain buys in the lead up to Christmas.

I've personally found a few good buys on play.com. I had 3 Christmas DVD's (aimed at toddlers) for £4.00 with free postage. They also do leapfrog leaptop for £14.99 beating Argos and Toys R Us by £5.00 and Tag Junior for £22.39 (£30 in Argos). Aquadoodle Classic comes in at £13.39 (£19.99 Argos). Everything has free delivery although does take around 3 working days.

I also nipped into Asda yesterday to buy a toy vacuum which was originally costing £22.99 but they had a good one for £12 and then noticed a 2 for £20 offer on and therefore picked up a Leapfrog Potsy for just £8 - it was going to cost nearer £20.

Thorntons have big boxes of chocs (with christmas design on the front and well in date) reduced to £5

They should be £10 so a decent bargain, however, if you buy 5 boxes you only pay for 4.

So £50 of chocs for £20

Argos 3 for 2 are ( I think, don't quote me - order on-line, pick up instore.) I went in on Friday and there was nothing avbout the 3 for 2 advertised.

But ordered Sylvanian Family for DD .Looked on Ebay and The Entertainer to compare prices. She wanted new, not used.
Alot of the SF was online only and not available to pick up in-store, loads was out of stock.

She chose a house and conservatory and a set of animals so that was the free gift.

Dh works for argos, 3 for 2 is definately on, he will find out whether it includes the 2 for £15.
