That's great thanks Monster. We've got a Range near us so I'll have a look

Honeydragon · 14/08/2011 20:43

Ooooh Monster you're quite near me Smile I'm t'other side of Northampton, Silverstone way.

Blatherskite · 14/08/2011 20:45

We have one of those bouncing zebras. It's Ok but DD is never very bothered. The scramblebug is a lot more popular and has the added advantage of not being huge folding flat for storage and transport.

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 20:45

Honey I just like shopping in corby, they have an argos clearance. I actually live in Northampton, Wootton :)

Blatherskite · 14/08/2011 20:46

You're not far from me then Honey. I'm in MK

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 20:46

My SIL lives in Wootton Monster. I'd be worried you were her but her kids are older :)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 20:47

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 20:48

Blather none of my inlaws have dc, you are safe :)

I wanted the red and blue but MIL bought it in the end and got the pink/purple.

Folding is really easy, just one clip underneath. It's super sturdy when up too as the legs are splayed. DD used it as a walker until she learnt to walk and she could get on it properly

Honeydragon · 14/08/2011 20:52

Oooh even closer then, my in laws and brother are all in Northamton Smile

Pmsl at SiL panic Grin

guess we're proving an interesting demographic, we live in an expensive part of the UK so have to budget and plan earlier!

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 20:55

I was thinking that Honey Grin
Blather you really are selling it too me, it sounds great, do they do a green one?

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 14/08/2011 20:58

the red scuttlebug is reduced to £20 in Tesco at the moment.

Blatherskite · 14/08/2011 21:01

There's a yellow and green ?

We're really happy with our scramble bug. DD loves it and so does DS at 4.5! It's not too expensive either which is always a bonus.

You could always pop over to MK for a test drive Wink

Lisatheonewhoeatsdrytoast · 14/08/2011 21:02

Those snuggle buggies are half their RRP in those discount chains, an't remember if it was Discount warehouse or wherever, but they were only £7.99 so not bad.
My DS has his birthday on New Year's Eve, so it's always hard to know what to get him for both, i agree a summer toy for those born at the end of the year. He got a scooter last year, and this summer it has been most used!!

I think this year, he is after fireman sam and postman pat bits, and we may get him a little bike for summer :)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 21:03
Wink Aww the yellow and green one is cute. Probably go for red though if its on offer. :)

Scuttlebugs are only £21 on amazon. I think they're bigger too

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 21:08

Blather I will look :) Dd is quite small but chunky so will close my eyes and pick Grin

Thefoxsbrush · 14/08/2011 21:09

Ds1(5) is getting a wii, dd (3) a dolls house and ds2 (1) a Thomas ride on. I'm being very strict this year! Just buying one big prezzie, filling their stocking with small gifts, new pjs and a new Xmas day outfit. They get spoilt by everybody else so no point in me wasting my cash on toys that will just get broken/lost.

LikeACandleButNotQuite · 14/08/2011 21:09

All things going the way they should, mine will be 9 days old at Christmas...should I get them a present? Seems a bit daft! Cannot wait till they are old enough for Lego - my most favourite thing ever.

Thefoxsbrush · 14/08/2011 21:10

I would get your little baby a token gift - maybe a baby's first Xmas bauble for the tree or something similar?

Blatherskite · 14/08/2011 21:11

If she's small I'd probably go for a Scramblebug rather than a Scuttlebug then as it looks like they're for bigger kids.

Tempted for one for DS though if only to end the fights between them for DD's Scramblebug :)

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 21:12

Fox my pil's spoil the dc too so I try to cut down, not very successfully though.
LikeACandle My dd was a couple of months old and we didnt get her much, we are classing this year as her first christmas and getting her a my first christmas bauble Grin

MonsterBookOfTysons · 14/08/2011 21:14
