Soooo, if I wanted some hastily-painted glass birds to hang from my oh-so-tasteful tree, I could choose six for

£12.99 from amazon

£15 from cox and cox

or

wait for it

£24.95 from pedlars

Hmmmmmmm, let me think. Hmm

I particularly love the way the pedlars birds look faintly embarrassed to be there. Grin

That's cos I am Caro Ingles and I come on these threads to keep them active.
Drip, drip, drip

SuePurblybiltByElves · 25/11/2010 21:36

Caro, Ingles, not Caro Ingles obv.

taffetacat · 25/11/2010 21:38

Merry - I expect they have one of those sell your friends details and souls to us for a fiver deals like Johnnie

Ingles2 · 25/11/2010 21:38

LOl on the Stockholm syndrome.... nah,.. just saw a robot game my bro had as a child and thought ds1 would like it.
Am a bit Confused at you wanting to smash my windows though Aitch.... why?

AitchTwoOh · 25/11/2010 21:44

i fink you know why...

AitchTwoOh · 25/11/2010 21:45

please tell me you at least checked to see that amazon didn't have it for a tenth of the price first...

Ingles2 · 25/11/2010 21:52

but of course... I'm the consumate shopper!
Grin
And I have only lined their pockets to the tune of 20 quid,... I think they might need just a little more to run their gaff!

AitchTwoOh · 25/11/2010 22:02

oh well, at least that is some consolation. Grin

FreudianFoxSquishedByAPouffe · 25/11/2010 22:03

Dammit some of the stocking fillers look really nice here Shock

Will have to find the items elsewhere so as not to fund this madness!

FreudianFoxSquishedByAPouffe · 25/11/2010 22:05

Although what actually has me fainting in shock is not the items themselves, it's the fact they have anything on there for less than a tenner.

stealthsquiggle · 25/11/2010 22:11

somebody find me this elsewhere, quick - I FC needs something for DH's stocking...

madamimadam · 25/11/2010 22:13

Now, look. This isn't on, Freudian. You can't go soft - give it 2 hours and you'll think the vintage Michelin bench is eminently practical. Look where Ingles has ended up - she thinks she's got a bargain (link,Ingles, or be judged forever!)

I sometimes fantasise about what I'd do if I won the lottery. And I have to say one thing would be to hack the Pedlars website and make 'thieving arseholes' their new banner.

I do know I ought to get out more. Blush

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 25/11/2010 22:54

The South Park episode where Butters is traumatised having seen the lady with a scarf's muff.

Well that's me.

I keep. Having. To. Look.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 25/11/2010 22:56

It's a cube. In tartan. That KILLED a faux fox.

taffetacat · 26/11/2010 09:47

So DH explained to me ( in calm tones, nice and sloooowly ) that they haven't taken the ridiculous fishing hook chandelier off sale, they have just moved it

here

5GoldenFimbos · 26/11/2010 09:55

Please could you all chip in and buy me this wonderful \link{http://www.pedlars.co.uk/page_2697.html\coat} which if you please is only water repellent.

FreudianFoxSquishedByAPouffe · 26/11/2010 10:12

Fimbos I believe it's not only water repellent, it's people repellent too!

Taffeta... I'm suspicious that your DH knew where to find that chandelier

taffetacat · 26/11/2010 10:21

hahaha Freudian if only you knew how ironic that was

DH would sooner gouge out his eyeballs than pay over the odds for anything, or indeed, pay anything at all. DH is, infact, make do and mend personified. Those wnakers want to come round here and see what make do and mend really means, with a 3/4 eaten apple in the fridge and cupboards and sheds full of shite "vintage offcuts".

He suggested I put chandelier in search on their website and it came up. Grin

iheartdusty · 26/11/2010 10:29

to STEALTHSQUIGGLE:

7.99

SuePurblybiltByElves · 26/11/2010 10:29

Nice to see you doing your homework Taffeta.

BlackBag · 26/11/2010 10:36

Tis twigs and pebbley shit for a higher income with pretentions to eccentricity.

True eccentrics would never create a 'lifestyle' statement they just get on with stuff.

This is for people with dull jobs, dull lives and dull taste but who having a thrush like itch that something is wrong and the answer lies with an object so grotesque it requires an explanation to its function

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 26/11/2010 11:01

BlackBag, I think you've hit the nail on the head.

Stuff like the swan - and even the Tartan Fox Pouffe - I might actually like them if I spotted them at a market or whatever (and not at Saw You Coming pisstaker prices).

I like odd things. But prepackaged eccentricity is as dreadful as mass produced twigs and pebbley shit.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 26/11/2010 11:03

Actually on reflection, it's worse. Far worse.

MilaMae · 26/11/2010 11:45

Jenai the swan and fox cube no never, never. Reassure me you wouldn't ever like them however cheap.

They are truely hideous, piss taking price or not.

The fox cube is a cube with a ratty fox tail and old Christmas cards staple to it. As for the swan.......

taffetacat · 26/11/2010 11:46

Gah had been avoiding clicking on the fox cube as I knew it would piss me right off. Thanks BlackBag.

435 quid??????A cube of foam covered in tartan, with some pictures of wildlife stuck on and a coupla ribbons, looks like something DS could knock up. Except he'd need Fnatastic Mr Fox's tail.

God its awful.
