What do YOU want for Christmas?

I've been present-planning and was suddenly struck by the certain realisation that nobody is currently thinking about what I would like. And I realise that, actually, there's loads of stuff I'd like. For starters:

• a really nice big mug for my morning tea
• Molton Brown lip balm (found this when upgraded on a flight years ago and now can't use anything els, but also can't justify it as it's £10 for a tube
• both of Nigel Slater's recent books on veg and fruit. The veg one most though.
• some boots (tricky for anyone to give these - I need to find them really)
• some of this year's Uniqlo cashmere
• some Tweezerman tweezers to replace some I lost 18 months ago
• a microplane grater

Written down this doesn't sound quite as grabby as I thought it was in my head as I'm not expecting all if it by any means. I know I won't get the boots and have a back-up plan (hairdryer).

Please tell me that it's not me who has more idea what I want than what to get anyone else?!

May get the Brora Wrist Warmers and the perfume but as just been my birthday and DH bought me a new car I can't really moan - although I will and will come up with lots of things I must have over the next month!

Tabbycat, annoying isn't it. As a teenager I was deluded and thought I would have a period of clear skin before wrinkles hit. But no, I have spent my twenties with both.

Poor Freakoid, I am 35 so I suppose the wrinkles were going to hit me soon! I managed to not be to pimply when I was pregnant, but three little boys later they have returned and brought the wrinkles with them.

I want a subscription to the New Yorker but I'm sure nobody will remember as I have been asking for it for 3 years and never got it so far!
