I am thinking of starting it with dd, who will be three at Christmas. It will be the first years she understands anything about Christmas so seems like a good time to start it.

I'm thinking of wrapping a present up with:

A new cup for her
A sachet of hot chocolate
Some edible glitter
A christmas Book (maybe a night before christmas)
New Pj's

Do your DC love it when you do it? Or does it just lost amongst everything else that happens at Christmas?
Did you grow up with it and do you have fond memories of it?

What a lovely idea OP! Am definitely nicking it this year!
We have a box of christmas books that comes out at the beginning of december.
My 2 little ones are 4 and 2 so great time to start pj tradition.
I have a friend who gives her 4 DCs a spoonful of medised every christmas eve......

PMSL @ Christmas Eve Medised tradition Grin

I wouldn't dare. I had some in the cupboard once when I was starting a cold a few days before a tooth extraction. I had to go for a pre-med so glugged the stuff to un-bung me up.

It went really well, the nurse didn't suspect a cold at all.

But she did tell me to lay off the recreational drugs before the op Shock

Blimey, didn't realise it was that strong!
We just try and tire ours out on Chrismtas Eve with a meal out and they're so excited anyway there ready for bed at about 6!

Ladycad I'm 33 and I always got new jammies at christmas (probably the only new jammies I got though)

It's probably OK if measured rather than swigged out of the bottle in desperation by an adult Blush

My parents successfully tired us out with Midnight (actually at Midnight) Mass and a Chinese takeaway after, the only one we had from one Christmas to the next because they were expensive.

We probably slept until ten!

I like this idea of new pjs Smile I'm planning to get DD new ones to wear christmas eve. Will need to have a Disney princess/Hello Kitty/Peppa sodding Pig motif in order for DD aged 3 to be particularly excited about getting them ofcourse.

Bought DD a BEAUTIFUL pair of pjs yesterday at M and S. The top has a gorgeous gingerbread house on it and the bottoms are tartan so shades of christmas but can also be worn post xmas.
