Dent in 6 month olds head?

My baby fell forwards from sitting earlier and banged her head on a veneer panel at the bottom of the bed. She hit it where her soft spot is, but on the left side. She cried for about 5 seconds and she had a nap, she woke up within 20 minutes for her food. Her skin was red where she hit it, it was red for about 30 minutes but gradually faded. She drank all of it (11 ounces!!!) and she seemed normal as can be. She played a bit and we both lay in bed together and slept another 45 minutes. She has had another feed and she’s been playing since. Nothing seems different about her.

there’s no bruising or lump. I am probably obsessing over it and there’s nothing there . I can’t see anything but I can feel her head dip a bit on the side where she hit it and it’s not on the other side. But I’m thinking maybe it’s just the shape of her head? I would attach a picture but there’s no point because there’s not a visible indentation at all

@kwiss i said I’d take her in?! How is that irresponsible?

how am I being unpleasant? People aren’t wording things very nice are they

Because you're waiting until tomorrow.

whatsdiswhatsdat · 15/01/2023 21:21

Phone family or friends or a taxi. Lots of people don't drive and get their children to A&E in an emergency.

If this is a real thread I'm simply aghast.

UnaVaca · 15/01/2023 21:21

Reported.

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:21

@whatsdiswhatsdat because she doesn’t have a dent in the skull. I came on here thinking maybe someone would know but the truth is they wouldn’t. Only I know.

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:19

@whatsdiswhatsdat I can’t confirm whether she does or not. I can’t tell. Seems like the normal contour to her skull, I was concerned of course but I’m overthinking .

that’s why I said I’ll take her to A&E tomorrow.

and what they did in A&E was examine her head and asked me how it happened. Then told me these things happen and sent me on my way.

The key thing there is they examined her head. At the very least call 111

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:21

@UnaVaca why? Reported what?

This thread is absolute nonsense.

If you are genuine OP, take your infant child to A&E tonight.

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:22

@fuckmylife2023 why?

OP posts:
UnaVaca · 15/01/2023 21:22

Because you’re a troll

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:19

@whatsdiswhatsdat no form of transport .. how do you not understand?!

Well when it comes to your child you get a form of transport!!

Taxi, friend, neighbour, learn to drive, parents, Uber, ANYONE when your child needs urgent medical attention with a potential dent in its head!

Jesus fucking Christ.

Why won't you just do the right thing for your child like everyone is saying on here? WHY did you ask!? You're incredibly irresponsible.

fuckmylife2023 · 15/01/2023 21:24

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:22

@kwiss im on the phone to 111

Course you are...

atteatimeeverybodyagrees · 15/01/2023 21:25

If you had a dent in your skull would you just leave it?!

whatsdiswhatsdat · 15/01/2023 21:25

Whenever I've gone to A&E with concerns about my child I haven't been pissing about on MN arguing with people.

If you tell 111 that your child banged their head such that you see a dent and aren't sure if the fall caused it... guess what they're going to tell you.

Go.

To.

A&E.

sasscass · 15/01/2023 21:25

@Danidandan learn to drive? You are joking right? How do I do that right this second genius?

my partner is on the phone to 111 and his father will pick us up to take us to A&E when he gets out of work soon
