Dent in 6 month olds head?

My baby fell forwards from sitting earlier and banged her head on a veneer panel at the bottom of the bed. She hit it where her soft spot is, but on the left side. She cried for about 5 seconds and she had a nap, she woke up within 20 minutes for her food. Her skin was red where she hit it, it was red for about 30 minutes but gradually faded. She drank all of it (11 ounces!!!) and she seemed normal as can be. She played a bit and we both lay in bed together and slept another 45 minutes. She has had another feed and she’s been playing since. Nothing seems different about her.

there’s no bruising or lump. I am probably obsessing over it and there’s nothing there . I can’t see anything but I can feel her head dip a bit on the side where she hit it and it’s not on the other side. But I’m thinking maybe it’s just the shape of her head? I would attach a picture but there’s no point because there’s not a visible indentation at all

@sasscass if you’re still worried give your GP a ring and maybe they can also check her over and that will be 24 hours after at least so might be a bit more reassuring for you!

Well done for getting her checked over. How is she today? If she's not lethargic, drowsy, vomiting, high temp or just not herself. Get her seen again. But I'm sure she's okay. My daughter didn't like her soft spot touched either.

@Lindtcat yeah she’s absolutely fine.

I’ve got a drs appointment for a few days time to just make sure
I gave her a head rub and she just smiled at me lol

Went back into hospital today since for the past 24 hours she has had an unusually firm soft spot. I spent 9 hours there, several nurses and doctors and a paediatrician felt her soft spot and they all agreed it felt “full”. But they said since she is asymptomatic and behaving fine, seems strong and her pupils respond to light they sent us home. The doctor said he had no idea why she has a firm/bulging soft spot but he said “rest assured she’s fine”

I can’t see how they’d all be wrong, but her soft spot has never been this firm for this long. Or perhaps I didn’t pay attention to it before. I’m going to keep on it until they offer a scan because I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if anything were to happen to her, I love her so much
