Hi, continuity thread for my little DS (3) who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma last week. Much gratitude for all the support the Trazzles have received. You nasty nest of vipers, you Grin

Lad today has gone well, and that the nursing staff have been helpful and organised.

I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed for good results tomorrow. XX

Thumbwitch · 15/11/2012 22:41

You fell asleep during the Big Bang Theory???? Shock Sacrilege! Wink

Glad he's on good form, and sorry if this has already been answered but can they give him something for the rash? antihistamine or something?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/11/2012 22:42

Glad you've had a good day, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

thewhistler · 15/11/2012 22:43

Thinking if you waiting. Didn't see TBBT as was cooking. Can't wait.

BuffyFairy · 15/11/2012 22:45

Hey Trazzle,

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and everything is crossed for positive news. And hoping no chemo on Xmas day.

I loved the pic of Joseph in his spiderman outfit. Too cute for words!

Stoking the Splodge in sw London x

Trazzletoes · 15/11/2012 22:48

Thumb THAT is how tired I am!

Piriton has no effect on the rash. We're trying something called Hydroxyzine this time to see if he can be non-itchy for more than an hour at a time, poor mite.

I know the rash is coming from the inside, but would things like an oat bath work? Works for chickenpox and eczema, might help a little? You put some porridge oats into a stocking and into a warm bath and let the avenins soak out into the warm bath water - nice and soothing. For a bit, at least. And at least it's not more drugs (if that's a concern).

I hope you recorded TBBT...

Cadmum · 16/11/2012 05:45

Thinking of you this morning and praying for good results. I hope You managed to get some sleep and that Joseph was not too itchy.

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 16/11/2012 09:35

Finger crossed for results today x

Clara35 · 16/11/2012 10:07

Hi Trazzles just popping in to say "hallo"

Hope you and mini-Trazzles manage to get home this week and they can give you something to ease the itching.

Aw at him dancing in his spiderman pyjamas Smile

Thanks all. Meeting wasn't booked properly so it's already 35 minutes late and we have no idea when/if it will be.

I am following along & thinking of you all from the other side of the Prnninra here (two letters aren't working on my keypad - normally it auto corrects but for some reason it hasn't with that particular mountain range - I'm sure you can work it out!).

strictlycaballine · 16/11/2012 10:43

How frustrating about the meeting Trazzles when you are all geared up for it...

Trazzletoes · 16/11/2012 12:02

As good a piece of news as we dared hope for: Joseph's main tumour is shrinking and the sample of bone marrow that they took showed no evidence of neuroblastoma. It is expected that there will still be pockets of cancer cells in his bone marrow but the amount has significantly reduced. The chemo is doing its work.

We are still a very, very long way from home and dry, but we couldn't have hoped for anything better at this stage.

Am allowing myself a Grin and maybe some Wine tonight...

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 16/11/2012 12:03

Fantastic Trazzle!

MirandaWest · 16/11/2012 12:04

That's great news Grin

dikkertjedap · 16/11/2012 12:04

Hope the meeting went as well as possible and the cancer has started to shrink in response to the chemo.

Thinking of you.

dikkertjedap · 16/11/2012 12:06
