Hi, continuity thread for my little DS (3) who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma last week. Much gratitude for all the support the Trazzles have received. You nasty nest of vipers, you Grin

What a gorgeous pair they are!

Glad to hear (iykwim) that Joseph's been diagnosed and can now start the treatment to get over his c diff.

Enjoy your Thai meal tonight.

GlaikitFizzog · 05/11/2012 11:06

Both y children are beautiful. Still splodging light to you fro sunny Scotland!

dikkertjedap · 05/11/2012 11:37

Both are absolutely beautiful! Smile

Trazzletoes · 05/11/2012 20:37

All being well we should be going home tomorrow evening. Fingers have been crossed but hopes are not up!

C diff is being treated and we can continue the antibiotics at home. Dr came by and heard him coughing (the same cough he and DD have had since September) and announces he thinks they have whooping cough sigh. They don't have whooping cough, it's just a similar nasty irritating cough.

Joseph is fast asleep under his little hug and looks super comfy.

And finally some good news: I called the nursery today for their bank details which I'd lost and they announced that we are massively in credit because they aren't charging us for the days Joe is missing. I could cry at their generosity. While you would always hope that people would do that, they are still a business, they are holding a place for him that they aren't filling, they still have overheads etc, but they know cash is a bit tight for us and are helping out.

Christmas is back on!

I honestly can't believe they have been so kind. We are so fortunate to have such amazing support from all corners. Thank you.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 05/11/2012 21:14

I really hope you can get home tomorrow.

Great news about the nursery fees, I'm so pleased it has taken some of the financial worries off your shoulders - it's nice to see that businesses have a human side too.

Keep the good news coming I say!

THERhubarb · 05/11/2012 21:23

Popping back in to see how you are all going. So pleased to find I can put a name now to the lovely picture of your gorgeous ds!

My thoughts are still with you all x

barefootcook · 05/11/2012 23:17

She is delicious! Fantastic news about the fees. Good news comes in chunks- you're on a roll!

gasman · 05/11/2012 23:46

I've not read the whole thread....so have probably missed masses but I can crochet and have been known to hang out in children's hospitals professionally.

If you are in one near me I'll come and teach you to crochet (but I personally would go for knitting....)

I bet however another mumnetter has beaten me to it!

onedev · 05/11/2012 23:48

Here's hoping for a good news roll Grin

ShiftyFades · 05/11/2012 23:49

I'm glad you've had some good news from the nursery, what a thoughtful thing they are doing Grin
Sorry to hear Joseph has C Diff, no wonder he's had a bad tummy, but at least it can be treated at home.

Will be thinking of you and MrT, he must miss his Dad terribly Sad

I love a bit of American trash, I shall search and sky+ it and have a look.

Night night Trazzle, hope you get some well deserved rest xxxx

Trazzletoes · 06/11/2012 04:11

Shifty it is indeed trash! It's on Watch on Monday or Tuesday evenings. 2nd series has just started. All you need to know is that Nick is a cop who is destined (by his family tree) to seek out and kill fairy tale creatures. You see, all the tales by the Brothers Grimm Hmm were based on truth and he is also a Grimm... His fiancée got put in a coma by one of them, his boss is a big baddie and Munroe is totally adorable. Despite being one of "them" with their oddly Germanic sounding names.

I don't know anyone who watches it in rl so glad to find out in not the only one Grin

What beautiful DC you have, Trazzle. So glad to hear of the nursery's humanity. I hope there is lots more good news to come.

NorksAreMessy · 06/11/2012 06:53

Good morning to all the trazzlesies I hope Joseph had a good night, even though you seem to have missed out on some sleep in the wee small hours.

I could KISS your nursery manager.
There is a great big lum of karma coming her way! As a business decision, that is a nonsense, as marketing, it might just get people talking, but as an act of loving kindness, it is outstanding. Just lovely. It is the sort of thing the rest of us would like t do for you, if only you would let us (oops, did I say that out loud? What a naggy pants I am :) )

Hope your day is filled with sunshine and tiny victories.

blizy · 06/11/2012 07:19

Good morning Trazzle. I hope J gets out
Today, sorry to hear about the C Diff, poor little mite. I am so glad about the nursery fees, what a lovely gesture! I hope J has a good day. X

thewhistler · 06/11/2012 09:01

Morning, Trazzle.

Hope the Thai was good and you get out today. What a wonderful nursery. Blessings on them.

Good news on the crochet. I can't knit, always drop stitches and tension terrible, but once you get the hand of crochet nothing is easier, at any rate ay the basic level which is what I do.

TeaMakesItToTheTop · 06/11/2012 09:03

Oh. Ahem. I seem to have got a little bit of dust in my eye after reading about what your nursery manager did and what it means to you. There are some lovely people around.

Hoping for a quiet day and evening for you, your family and of course Joe.

Your DD is adorable

tholeon · 06/11/2012 09:57

Fab news re lovely nursery people.

Hope Joe is home soon. Glad he has Peppa Pig's Party time. My DS loves it.

Your little DD is gorgeous. Hope she is feeling better too now?

strictlycaballine · 06/11/2012 16:37
