New thread as this one is nearing the end ,, also going to post a separate thread for people either waiting for MR’s or starting the process of one (mandatory recommendation)

Very draining I definitely think I will be still none the wiser next week. Call handler today just said it's with the DM and taking 18 to 20 weeks yet the call handler I spoke to at the start of the week said 16 to 18 weeks. I'm 17 weeks today and with Easter approaching I fear I'm in this for the long run 😭

Oh no I forgot about Easter 😭

I rang today and they said it would take 16 weeks, must all be different.

I'm in the friyay 9am club ☺️
Scan date 01/12 .. rang weds to check on additional info, said it was still in a bloody holding pile .. must be that slow dm 🐌 fgs!

Am I the only one thinking that in my own job, if I sent a letter or email to someone giving a certain deadline, and then didn’t get it done I’d be hauled in the office and given an absolute bolloking yet this is just the norm for DLA just send letters out saying whatever …I mean I haven’t hit 15 weeks yet but seeing lots of people still waiting way over that is just shocking.

@CS0689 perhaps our CM is on holidays or ill, then I guess that is sitting on someone's desk for weeks....

Mc and lm but I'm happy with that it help for my child and his needs wil help out massively keep postive everyone 🙏🏻

Always start with a “good morning/afternoon/evening” and wish them a good day when the calls ends 😂 I haven’t had one mean person answer the phone to me through all this, starting to think they’ve added a note to my file saying I’m polite and friendly 🤣

Ahh okay , Thank you! , I hope that my little one gets accepted for DLA. I thought what the lady said on the phone was pointing into the direction of an award but now I’m abit worried 🙈 hopefully it’s not too much longer of a wait for us all. x

Im same scan date 01/12 .. he said with dm but will take another 4 weeks till 18th april..
None of it makes sense.

Good luck Shelly 🤞🤞🤞I've seen some of the dms work pretty quick tho! One lady got told still with a dm when she called then later on in the afternoon got a text to say awarded so fingers crossed. Its cheesing me off now 😩 xx

🤣🤣🤣🤣. I start and end like that too, but if someone starts with me I don't bite my tongue unless I'm in my uniform then I bite it really hard 🤣🤣🤣. Costs nothing to be nice does it? Just don't why people have to be arsey at all x

Yes it really would! I mentioned to the guy his name was Jordan and he was lovely that it would be so much better online and he said it’s really so there’s no fraud or data stolen which makes sense to be honest! Fingers crossed we hear soon!

Yeah I get that, but the forms can be done online and originals or copies sent in for then to physically see. It's very outdated I feel as it's quite hard to commit fraud these days isn't it? You can get a passport online these days, I remember having to traipse to max speilman to get ny photo taken, then go to a professional to write on the back of my photo, then traipse to the post office!! All I do now is fill out online, upload a pic I took on my phone and then text a colleague to be a countersignatory lol. Just so so long winded.

what is it you need help with?

my scan date is 20/11 too. I’ve called three times now and today they’ve said it’s still in the holding pile. Mines a clerical case, the reference starts with CL. He said it’s because my child is not known in the system as I don’t claim child benefit or tax credits so clerical cases take much longer.

I'm the same scan date 01/12, I called yesterday and they said it will be 16 weeks before their looked at.

woke up and backdated payment was in my account.
