@Lolly966 we probably do have the same DM, a very very slow one! Don’t know whether to bother phoning again tomorrow, don’t feel very hopeful the longer it’s with a DM and I don’t hear anything…

That’s gutting, so bad to cut off after waiting that amount of time

Yeh I wonder did you find out how long it takes for them to receive the national insurance number I've tried Google but can't find anything x

I did ask but he couldn’t give me that information as he didn’t know but would email the team as I mentioned I was told about the insurance number three weeks ago!
I shall try again Monday and I will write a letter of complaint aswell as they’re supposed to sort cases out in a reasonable time - people waiting 20+ weeks which many on here do is not acceptable

@kristie198 & @KerBear12
i don’t know if anyone has replied to you because I’m still reading but they had to send off for my sons NI number as I don’t claim child benefit for him… I’d say his took around 4 weeks from them requesting the NI number to when he was awarded… I was told by the lady on the phone though that they only reach out for it if they think an award is likely although when I wrote that on the FB page someone jumped down my throat because apparently that’s wrong but according to the lady who actually works there and from what I’ve read online it’s right… Hope this helps!

That's ridiculous!! They have a deadline of 24hrs to generate a NINo for DLA child purposes!! That's outrageous!! Hope you get somewhere with it sharpish. And I would definitely be sending a letter of complaint about it. X

Thank you the man who I spoke to today said an award is likely as the CM has sent of for her national insurance and they don't do that otherwise. Blimey 4 weeks I'm not sure how long it's been as I don't know when they sent off for it x

Shaf89 · 14/03/2024 18:07

Congratulations I have the same scan date still in holding pile
They said April 11th the latest

Thank you! They told me different things every time I phoned, last week i was told it would be end of March. So hopefully you will hear something soon x

Kezzia87 · 14/03/2024 18:18

@kristie198 So it’s probably true then.. Honestly I had to take myself off the FB page because of the way a couple of people reacted when I was only trying to help lol.. Hopefully it’s quicker for you as my sons was over the Christmas break..

Kezzia87 · 14/03/2024 18:21

Does anyone know how long a MR is taking roughly?

Mummato4minime · 14/03/2024 18:23

Hi new here , forms received 11/12 .. called a few weeks ago they said it was in the que, called back today and they told me it’s with decision maker..
am beside myself with worry! does anyone know how long it takes for them to make a decision?
any advice is appreciated

Worriedmotheroftwo · 14/03/2024 18:24

I can't believe this but I woke up this morning to a DLA payment! The wait is finally over! Scan date: 16/11 Called up for forms: 13/10. I did send extra evidence a fortnight ago. No notification of award by text, no letter yet, simple money in my account!

I wonder if anyone could help me work out rates please (unwilling to ring when it's not urgent and so many people are waiting for their awards still). Payment was £2711.65. It would have been backdated from 13/10 (I make that 22 weeks?). I understand that there is some sort of cost of living bonus included in this. Any idea what the actual award is? Thanks!

Kezzia87 · 14/03/2024 18:34

@Worriedmotheroftwo
i don’t know if I’m right but it works out as 21 weeks of HRC and LRM plus the £10 Christmas bonus…
101.75+26.90x21= £2701.65 plus the £10 Xmas bonus

Kezzia87 · 14/03/2024 18:42

@Sophx99 They do send texts for a decline just the wording is different.. I forget exactly what it says though something like a decision has been made i think.. I read ages ago that not all DMs have the ability to text or something so a lot of people don’t even receive a text

@Duchess89 yeah I reckon we do! A very slow dm, I even spoke to my daughter’s preschool just incase they rang them for more information but they ain’t heard of them so I don’t know😩 if you’ve got chance to call tomorrow then I would but then again it’s so deflating when there’s no updates, I feel the exact same as you the longer with the dm the less I feel like it’s going to be award but I’ve got my fingers crossed for us! That if we don’t hear something tomorrow then hopefully over the weekend x

@rjnicola i think we do! You’ve been waiting longer than me aswell so really hope you get a decision soon! it’s so draining isn’t it

Yes it’s a new claim as they lost his renewal forms and ended his claim because it takes so long for them to acknowledge they’ve received things 🙄 just ask them for an update, it’s what I said yesterday and they was really lovely

Kezzia87 · 14/03/2024 18:53

@Worriedmotheroftwo no worries and congrats!!
