I got a letter saying 'we got it on 16/11/24'. Is the same as my 'scan date' that everyone keeps mentioning?

Same to you! It's such a stressful time isn't it? We have our first EHCP meeting today too. I'm living in a constant state of anxiety!

Still no letter and I'm working so can't spend hours on hold but from the amount think they've awarded MRC and LRM, which is what I'd expected. Just hope I don't have to do it all again next year.

@buddyboy14 they tell you what you want to hear half the time I think last year I was told 4 different times different things it was with a decision maker and then was told it’s not on other occasions I would ring up it’s with a Case manager then it was still waiting to be looked at it’s all so frustrating hope u hear something soon

Hi all, I’ve been reading through these posts for a couple of days. How terrible that everyone is left waiting so long ☹️ I’m currently waiting to see if my daughter is awarded DLA, scan date 11/10. I’ve seen mention of disabled child element and carers element of UC of which I was unaware of. Can these both be claimed if on full UC? I’m currently not working due to severe mental health issues after my partner took his own life last year. I receive LCWRA element at present. Thank you x

Glad to see more and more October dates getting decisions. Hope the last few sept dates get your decisions soon.

@Mrssnee16 Hiya it's a grant, there is loads of catogarys, u can apply to anything from a haven holiday to home improvements to iPads to clothes etc, they ask u to choose 5 things you would like the grant for, they ask u to upload a photo of Ur DLA letter and UC letter. I was approved within 10 mins as I called as soon as they opened and I had only just submitted it then. I'm not sure how much the grant is for she said I would get an email tomorrow telling me xx

@Helenmelon74 hi yes you can claim full element of disabled child if accepted by dla for HRC you would get £456 universal credit disabled element and for any other rate dla you would get £168 I think it is however the careers through uc you wouldn’t be eligible for because of LCWRA I am currently on the same and get the disabled child element but can not claim the carer part hope this helps x

@Gracie1909 my uc statements have been updated to include both elements and I had my back payment from uc go into my account today. Taken 2 weeks to get sorted. I looked at the family fund and it's paused for people in Wales at the moment x

I’ve been a long time lurker (scan date 9/10). I rang today as my anxiety of waiting was taking over. Decision was made yesterday (no txt or back pay yet) and was awarded HRC & LRM. I honestly didn’t think we’d be awarded as didn’t have hardly any evidence and no diagnoses at the moment. Only awarded for a year but feel more confident for next time round now as services have accepted since submitting original claim. Keep fighting for your little ones, they should get what they deserve! Good luck to all those waiting, I know how awful that wait is
