@Liddyj Thats a day after mine! I will definetly keep you updated if i hear anything and please let me know also!! Hope you get rewarded, the wait is sooo long!! x

Willowblake · 16/01/2024 21:44

I've given up all hope at this point hah scan date 1/8, 24 weeks today! So happy to see everyone getting awarded and getting what their kids deserve! I think I need to switch my brain off from all this for a bit though 😅 the whole process has done me in x

DivGirl · 16/01/2024 22:04

@Willowblake On your letters does your reference number start with CL?

Liddyj · 16/01/2024 22:06

@Willowblake have they said why it’s taking so long? if you’ve not already put a complaint in it’s not fair that dates after yours are being awarded and your still waiting 24 weeks is horrific x

GirlMamasClub · 16/01/2024 22:59

I called to start my claim on 31/08/23. Praying I hear something soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Ilovemychildren123 · 16/01/2024 23:10

@Luevzamum still nothing for me either I think I may call tomorrow or Thursday. I hate calling but I feel like I need to know now x

Claudb98 · 17/01/2024 00:22

@126t hopefully not much longer for you have you phoned up at all

tiredmum1989 · 17/01/2024 00:29

I’ve just had money in my bank account! Looks like middle rate care. I don’t know my scan date but my deadline to send it back was 6th Sept and I sent it 2nd or 3rd Sept I think. Thanks all for your help and support.

Universal credit question: my partner is registered as the main carer for our children and gets carers element for our daughter. Am I now able to get carers element for our son who’s just been awarded? Or because my partner is the main carer of the children I can’t do it?

Anne92 · 17/01/2024 07:57

Forms received 25/08/23
Had 2 texts and 2 letter and finally yesterday my lil girl was awarded what she deserves!! My question, how long after did you receive back pay and what next steps are? Good luck to everyone still waiting x

Depends are you getting limited capability for work ?As you can't get both
But you will get the disabled child element £146 extra for middle rate care award

fraggle19781 · 17/01/2024 09:10

I had a text message on Monday to say we have been awarded, no payment in my bank account as of yet, can anyone advise how long it normally takes. Thank you x

Mummytoviboys · 17/01/2024 09:15

I caved and rang today!
on Monday I was told it’s with a case manager and today it’s in a queue for a case manager 🤷🏼‍♀️
scan date 08/09
he said it’s taking 18 weeks, I’m passed that but apparently you can’t count Christmas 🤦🏼‍♀️
good luck to everyone else today!

mamaneedswine · 17/01/2024 09:31

Hi,
I have a scan date of 20/09 and so I'm expecting a decision will hopefully be made next month sometime.

My dc is 10 years old and has a diagnosis of autism. Since I filled out the forms my dc has had a referral to CAMHS for mental and emotional reasons relating to finding school challenging. They mask through the school day and rarely present with any difficulties but then have emotional meltdowns at home. With refusal to go to school the next day, lots and lots of tears at bed time and threatening to harm themselves so that they do not have to go to school, hence the recent CAMHS referral.

Should I send the CAMHS referral in as evidence and also does this then affect the wait time of the claim as in it goes back to the beginning?

Also I did not have a teacher or doctor write a supporting statement as most of the challenges are presented at home and not school and I'm now very concerned that this will result in a decline. Has anyone been awarded before without a supporting statement?

tiredmum1989 · 17/01/2024 09:34

No I work so can’t claim carers allowance but wasn’t sure if I’d get carers element. Why do they make it so confusing 🙈 I work part time from home so I can help with his care needs and definitely doing the 35 hours so not sure what to do.

Hood1991 · 17/01/2024 09:36

@mamaneedswine my son is the same. He was awarded Mrc and lrm I just sent all paperwork I had. didn’t get a doctor or anyone to write a supporting letter.

Loumumoftwo · 17/01/2024 09:48

@Charlottegirlmumto5 my daughter was awarded at 7 months old too. HRC until her 3rd birthday, yours may be the same as that’s when you can apply for motibilty component xx

Keddie · 17/01/2024 09:49

For goodness sake ! It wpuld not be so bad but i was told even after asking for a text your not garanteed one! So annoying all of it x

Hlr1994 · 17/01/2024 09:53

@Tashanddaryn You too! Fingers crossed we hear this week x

Leigh08 · 17/01/2024 09:57

My scan date was 08/09 & I got a text yesterday saying we’d been awarded, not had no money or letter yet. My son has Tourette’s, suspected adhd & autism. He’s never received much help, we’ve just got on with it I didn’t really have much evidence to send.. it was literally me speaking from the heart about day to day life. My mom filled in the part about somebody who knows the child. Not sure if it helped but I sent extra stuff off at about 17 weeks as the doctor wrote a letter for us to whom it may concern.. 😊

Mummytoviboys · 17/01/2024 10:00

@Tashanddaryn
it really is annoying! He also told me it won’t be until middle of feb!
he said he’ll put a note on that I’ve rang and sometimes that can make things quicker!
I ring dead on 9 and get straight through, I don’t pick any options, let them go through through the options twice then the phone will automatically ring! if you don’t hear today give that a go tomorrow and hopefully you’ll get straight through!

DaylaD · 17/01/2024 10:03

Hi has anyone rang this morning? I just tried to call about 5 times keeps hanging up on me. Scan date is 02/10

Jneill2021 · 17/01/2024 10:06

@Keddie no I might ring Friday I've had the kids home ill all week so been bit hard to find the time, have you heard anything yet? Xx
