Leahanne1232 · 16/01/2024 15:30

Yes I've been seeing the same! When she told me I didn't even have the energy to fight it but from what I've seen on here they say all different things it seems so can't really trust what is said

Geegee1506 · 16/01/2024 15:50

Anyone on here been awarded for a child around 1 years old? If so what conditions did they have? (If you don't mind me asking) I'm just wondering if anyone is going through the same as us. I did my claim when he was 7 months old back in June. currently waiting on MR. 8 weeks today.. really expecting another decline. Not sure I've got it in me to go to tribunal 😩

Skelly201 · 16/01/2024 15:53

@TanSav95 I was 14/08 and had no award text, letter or call, just woke up to money in the bank this morning, hopefully you hear off them in the next couple of days x

TanSav95 · 16/01/2024 15:58

Thank you, I had a meeting with the send teacher today at school and she said she spoke to dla today so hopefully a decision soon

DivGirl · 16/01/2024 15:58

Scan - 30/08. Rang today for the first time and was told that because it’s a clerical claim it takes longer (have to write out to get the NINo).

Does anyone know if they bother writing out for unsuccessful claims? She said it’ll be around another 3 weeks.

Did they say why its a clerical claim? I've no idea what my claim is clerical or not but I'm worried now because my letter said it was received 4 days after it was posted to them and others have said they've waited weeks for it to be scanned on to the system. I've tried to call them just get cut off and if I call now I won't get through anyway. They haven't asked me for a birth certificate so presumably it's not a clerical claim?

DivGirl · 16/01/2024 16:07

@Mummy2024 Presumably because I don’t claim child benefit they’re not able to access the NI number on their system. That’s an assumption on my part though - I’m not certain.

TanSav95 · 16/01/2024 16:30

I’m on hold only been on the phone 10 minutes and they close at 5pm so probably won’t even get through today, if I don’t I will be calling tomorrow after my girls doctors appointment in morning

TanSav95 · 16/01/2024 16:32

Mines a new claim so it’s taking ages

Bearintheredhat · 16/01/2024 16:36

@divgirl
I claim child benefit but dont take the money for it ifswim.
They asked for my dc’s birth certificate.

National Insurance numbers aren’t assigned until the child is 16? Am I mistaken there?

So I’m not sure that’s what would make yours a clerical claim?

Sharniexxx7 · 16/01/2024 16:47

A claim is generally clerical because there have been technical issues with putting it on the computer system. It means that it is dealt with by hand. The difficulty with that can be that it is harder for advisers to access when you ring them and it can make things take longer to be dealt with.

Edited

I don't now tbh my husband claims for my other children I only claimed for 1 who now doesn't get it, I did claim it when this claim went in but only just. They didn't ask me for a birth certificate so presumably mines not a clerical claim. I hate that you can't get through to them when you call I just get cut off and I can't call early as I'm working. I've lost the letter with the date on aswell as I wanted to check I hadn't mixed the dates up and thought it was September when it was October or something. I wish they would just hurry up even if its a no at least we can move on forward.

I'm concerned, just because the date on my letter was only 4 days after I posted it, which makes me think maybe they wernt able to scan it on, it was a late claim so I don't know if that affects being able to scan it. I was late as I was awaiting an appointment with an adviser for help with the form

Mummy2024 · 16/01/2024 15:07

@EarlofShrewsbury Have you been awarded?

Yes, money went in this morning.

I posted forms 29th August and received a letter mid October informing me they got the forms on 4th Sept.

I never called or anything, i just printed the forms from the web and got back pay in my account 19 weeks and 1 day after they say they got the forms.

20 weeks exactly from the date I posted them.

I deducted the £10 Christmas bonus and divided by 19 and that gave an amount equal to MRC and LRM.

She's 7, with autism and adhd.

Thanks so much for your response, I'm just getting so nervous now everytime the moneys not there day and after day. I know they are dealing with our date now and I know it's going to take at least 7 days to get a letter with a decline so each day its not in I just get more and more concerned its a decline. Your date now makes more sense to mine. I thought you were saying that it took them 6 weeks to scan your form. I just need be patient and wait the 20 weeks its just so hard.

TanSav95 · 16/01/2024 17:22

Let me know if you get through, I’m still on hold just over a hour now, I thought if they closed at 5pm I would of been cut off

Donnakr1976 · 16/01/2024 17:23

I’m 18 weeks 13/9 scan date. Told it’s with the case manager. Fingers crossed won’t be long now. Good luck to all x

Jneill2021 · 16/01/2024 17:29

@Luevzamum nothing yet the wait is terrible I remember doing an Mr when originally applied a few years ago and I had a reply with 2 weeks lol will definitely keep you updated x

Mamof31 · 16/01/2024 17:32

I’m 18 weeks tomorrow scan date 13/9 hopefully hear something soon 🤞🏼 I didn’t have much evidence to send just hoping it’s not a decline as this would help towards a home tutor as he’s currently out of school due to his anxiety

TanSav95 · 16/01/2024 17:36

I didn’t get through either, I got the same thing when it turned 5:30pm, I will be phoning them in the morning after my daughters doctors appointment, the send-co at school today told me the conversation between them and it seemed good so just got my fingers crossed that my girl gets accepted. X
