How does everyone know who there case is with? Is there an online portal I'm missing or do you keep calling up?

Mummytoviboys · 16/01/2024 10:48

@UpsideDown12

I've been a silent follower for a while. Scan date 01/09 just had a text saying my daughter has been awarded, really shocked as she's old 7months old and I was convinced they would decline her. Don't know rate or how long shes been awarded but its a start. Good luck everyone.

Lottiexx3 · 16/01/2024 11:25

Scan date 25/09 hoping for some good news soon 🤞🏻hopefully by the end of the month

Zolasmommy · 16/01/2024 11:30

@EarlofShrewsbury hugs I know what you mean - every new appointment or change with my LO brings a wave of emotions. Progress is good but I’m left feeling ambivalent.

You’re fighting for the help she needs and deserves, and that’s a beautiful thing. Your best will always be good enough ♥️

Congratulations on your award 💐

Hi does any one no how long for a renewal I can’t remember the exact dates I no I applied for my son in march got awarded in July and then by September I had a letter to say I needed to reapply as his award was only for a year so it is up in march 2024 probably because he was only 1 years old and it was to do with breathing problems which potentially he could of grown out of and at the time (no diagnoses ) we now have a potential diagnosis of severe asthma allergy time ) but due to age can’t fully diagnose until after 2 and he is on all the medication for that antibiotic 3 x a week cetrazine twice a day and constant inhalers both day and night excetra ,, I have sent The forms back a while ago probably around end of september but still waiting to hear back I’m still being paid the dla for him , but does anyone now how long they take for a renewal decision weather it will be around the end date in march or way before on pins worrying and it weather they’re going to award again or not ,,,, and I’m also currently waiting for a decision on my nearly 3 year old as well new claim (ASD) pathway and I have received a letter today to say they are still looking at this claim and it can take up to 15 weeks we are currently on week 10 is it more the 20 weeks wait I will be looking at for him to get a decision as I no it is taking way longer than 15 weeks x

Good morning all, Scan date 08/09. I received a text on sat 13th to say been awarded. I then called them Monday morning 15th to find out what had been awarded etc and told got HRC and LRM for adhd. Evidence they look for is school plans and teachers or senco information, doctors letters. i was worried as i didn't even have the letter from cahms to confirm they had got his referral. It was weird as i had called on the 12th and told nothing been done with it apart from its at 18 weeks and between 18-20 weeks they are going to the decision makers, i then asked her to put note on my case that i was sending in more evidence so she did. To then getting text on the Sat 13th to say a decision has been made. Unless when you call it flags it up and pushes it faster it was just very weird. She also did mention that the rate at the moment is around 126 for the both together and from April it will go up to around £130 something so looks like a rise in the rates ☺

BrizzleMum84 · 16/01/2024 12:09

@Cjbabs1986 congratulations on your award. This gives me hope as my child has an ADHD diagnosis. Is on an very very reduced time table for 2 days a week and the other 2 days he is in an alternative provision to do manual trade for 2 days. He has combination ADHD. Dosent sleep more than 3 hours a night and has flooded my house at least 3 times and Also set the kitchen in fire 🤦🏽‍♀️ all due to forgetting things or what he's doing. He is on the SENCO register and they wrote a statement on the form for me too.

fraggle19781 · 16/01/2024 12:36

Got my text message yesterday stating my dd has been approved, such a stressful time waiting for the decision. My scan date was the 6th September so good luck to everyone who are still waiting news. I have no information on the text apart that has been approved. Can anyone tell me how long after the acceptance text did you get the information letter or payment into bank accounts, so I can work out what rate has been awarded. I do not want to take valuable space within the queuing system to ring and ask. To all those of you still waiting good luck, stick with it and I hope you all get the decisions soon.

Congratulations, and this is such a relief for me anyway. My son is six with ADHD and dyspraxia I sent so much evidence!

Holllymum · 16/01/2024 13:19

Has anyone been awarded for a child with both autism and adhd? Also if you get higher rate care does that mean you can have the higher rate on care element universal credit

Leahanne1232 · 16/01/2024 14:43

Forms scanned 11/09, rang and was told I wouldn't hear about decision till around mid Feb but she also stated it's done in order and September isn't being done yet which makes no sense considering I've seen peoole on here from September getting their decisions😂 I just feel like they don't have a clue she couldn't tell me if it's even with a decision maker yet

kcg24 · 16/01/2024 14:44

Make sure once awarded claim caret element of UC if you can’t get allowance just got a back payment

Well that's bullshit.

They have been working Sept dates for about a week and are currently doing around 08/9 from what I can see looking at other groups.

How long from doing the change and requesting back pay did it take to receive the back pay?

@EarlofShrewsbury Have you been awarded?

Keddie · 16/01/2024 15:18

@Luevzamum still nothing for me. A lady mentioned the date of the 18th to me but i think it will be another decline now and I wont be bothering with Tribunal x

Mummy2024 · 16/01/2024 15:20

EarlofShrewsbury · 12/01/2024 19:38

My first letter was about 6 weeks after scan date which was about 7 weeks after I posted the forms.

Was the date stated on your letter the scan date? I'm concerned now because I haven't rang to check a scan date
