Can anyone help? I’ve just managed to get through, the lady on the phone couldn’t get on to the system properly, she told me a decision has been made but couldn’t tell me anything further, she did say though the case has been closed by the decision maker and I’ll get a letter with the decision, does this mean it’s declined if the case has been closed? Any help or similar experience would be much appreciated x

I had a similar thing happen where I was told the same things by DWP a week ago, but for my PIP. I was convinced I'd been declined. I rang up a few hours later and spoke to someone else. By that time, the decision letter had been uploaded and they were able to give me all the details. (I was successful and awarded)

Appreciate PIP and DLA are different, but it's all DWP and it was such a final sounding statement to me, so I know how you feel.

Fingers crossed for you. The only other thing you can do is wait 2 or 3 days and see if any money hits your bank.

Was yours change of circumstances also? That is so good to hear, thank you for making me feel abit better 😂, hope you got a positive outcome xx

Yes change of circumstances, yes positive but doing a MR as I feel they haven’t even looked at the evidence sent x

Rellz · 15/01/2024 14:01

@Tangerin i was awarded weds, no money and no text, I called to check address to send evidence and was told I was awarded. Hopefully should get money between tomorrow and thurs

Loup19863 · 15/01/2024 14:01

@RainbowZebraWarrior thank you for taking time to reply, brilliant that you got awarded, such a stressful wait isn’t it 😩 anyway I’ve just this minute found out my little boy did get awarded he got the highest rate 🥲 I was convinced it was declined because they said case closed but apparently the case is closed as I can’t appeal it as he’s got the highest rate, which makes sense and I didn’t even think of that earlier. Thank you again for the reply x

Hotpinkangel19 · 15/01/2024 14:14

Just placemarking.... scan date 21/9

RainbowZebraWarrior · 15/01/2024 14:16

@Loup19863 that's amazing news, I'm so pleased. I was also awarded the highest rate on my PIP so that explains them saying about closure of case. So happy for you. Hope you can breathe a sigh of relief now.

EEFO1234 · 15/01/2024 14:28

@TTwinnies010920 @AAndrewGarfieldsLaptop
That's crazy all the doffernt times they are saying, she said it has just been updated on waiting times, i seen someone else say they were told 27 weeks this morning too

Tangerin · 15/01/2024 14:30

@Rellz thank you. I rang and found out which child it was. They said money should be in this week and letter in the post. The relief!
They explained they cant send personal details by text which makes sense :-)
I can finally breathe. Now to wait for the other claim which they said should be march sometime....

Holllymum · 15/01/2024 14:53

What was your scan date?

Loup19863 · 15/01/2024 16:16

@Mummy2024 my scan date was 4/09/23 x

Dumbo05 · 15/01/2024 16:32

Another September award ☺️ I managed to call this morning and was told my son was awarded on Friday, HRC for 2 years!! No mobility due to his age. Scan date 04/09/23 so 18 weeks 4 days it was awarded. I was ready for a MR, gathered loads of evidence as I didn’t have as much as I’d like to have sent initially and was convinced he’d be declined. Such a stressful wait, good luck to everybody still waiting x

Did you have a diagnosis? X

Dumbo05 · 15/01/2024 16:39

No, no formal diagnosis but he is on the Autism pathway x

No I can't call as im working 5 days a week and when i leave work its straight on the school run but people around My sons scan date are now being awarded so I'm thinking if no money has appeared by Friday its likely a 70% likely a decline and wait for a letter then do a MR

LoudBee · 15/01/2024 17:09

i had a doctor fill in the part, who knows your child, I’m unsure how much this will help, other than a teacher?
