Puggie · 06/01/2024 22:59

Still waiting for 25/08. Seen a few being awarded on Facebook for scan dates early

Does anyone know if they text if a claim has been declined?

@Puggie I think they do text if it’s been declined. Something along the lines of, “A decision has been made on your DLA Child claim”. I could be wrong though! I just thought I read about it on here a few weeks ago.

I’m 23/08 and also still waiting. I hope we hear something next week!

Linacre96 · 07/01/2024 10:16

I’ve seen a few people who’s had that text and it’s been a decline but not sure 🤷‍♀️

Ameliasmummyx · 07/01/2024 12:35

i updated my universal credit claim 4 days ago to say my daughter was now getting high rate care DLA and I added a message in my journal to say why I updated my circumstances outside of the assessment period. I also asked about backdating. I received a letter on my journal today to say my coc was under special circumstances and they have accepted my claim and backdated to 06/06/23. Does anyone know if they will send a separate payment or if the backdated monies will be paid on my regular payment date for UC? Not really sure how it works and don’t want to bother UC again lol. I’ll be glad when this is all over!

mumoftwoxxx · 07/01/2024 13:36

@Ameliasmummyx you should receive the backdated on its own, and the added element should be On your next statement / regular IS payment. Hope this helps, I updated them on the 4th and am yet to hear back 😅 x

My scan date is 25.10 and I spoke to dla last week and the woman told me I was probably looking at the first week in March. Its such a drag isn't it

Linacre96 · 07/01/2024 19:18

01/09 I’m ringing up tomorrow see if I’ve been sent to a DM yet going on week 19
im really hoping for no decline

Daniellemcm · 07/01/2024 19:25

@Mrssnee16 it is indeed a drag, they need to update there letters too what they send out I have had two so far both saying 15 weeks when realistically there still doing Dates from 20+ weeks ago unless they get more staff I really don’t see how they will even get to us by March as 20 weeks from now (assuming they get through claims on weekly basis) would take us to late May 🤦🏻‍♀️

Mum2threeplus2bonuskids · 07/01/2024 20:16

ive been monitoring this thread waiting for date buddies to comment 🤣
12/09… had letter confirming application received, then another advising 15 weeks. Text on 21/11 and 03/01.

application for my 12yo, autism diagnosis and waiting to be assessed for dyspraxia.

his SEN lead at school advised us to apply, 🤞 because this money (if awarded) is going to fund additional tutoring for his GCSEs.

Toni1228 · 07/01/2024 20:52

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 07/01/2024 20:56
