DLA Wait times PART 23…. (2023)

Following on from part 22 as it is about to become full! 😊

@Maxine92 have you called recently? I called on Thursday just gone and they advised it should be done in a matter of days and to call back on 14/12 if I’ve not heard anything. Part of me wants to ring again, I hate the wait.

@Toad90 i rang on Tuesday and said it’s with DM and rang today and it’s still with the DM. The wait is horrible I’d rather know either way. The woman I spoke to on Tuesday was lovely and said I should have a decision within two weeks, but the man I spoke to today couldn’t wait to get off the phone and sounded annoyed that I’d rang 😬

@Kelseeyx I've had no response from UC yet since Friday. Seen a few say it takes a few weeks

I'm a long time lurker following to keep track of what dates are being awarded. Scan date 10/8, letter 01/09. Unlike most people here I haven't recieved any texts at all and last month changed my mobile number. Every time I ring to try and update it I'm either put on hold for over an hour or cut off. I'm a mum of 4 between 2 and 6 (eldest severely Autistic) and it's adding to my anxiety so much not knowing if my son will be awarded. My other son has just been diagnosed with severe developmental delays and have been advised to apply for him too but I don't think I can handle all the stress. Glad to see those with August scan dates are being awarded now though. I'm hoping I hear something next week because I don't think my anxiety will let me rest if I have to wait till New Year.

Called this morning and it’s with a case manager. Has been since 07/12 (last Thursday)
I haven’t heard anything else today. I’ll call Wednesday morning if I’ve heard nothing else. How about you?

I’ve had a 3rd text today, guessing they are even more behind then!!!!

@Ash135 I've called last Thursday and I was told I will hear something by the 3rd or 4th week of this month...fingers crossed!!!

Is anyone able to walk me through what I need to do on my Universal Credit account to be able to change it so that my daughter gets DLA now? I tried the report a change about a child bit but it never had an option to put on that she is disabled.

Scan date is 17.08 I was initially told 18 weeks back then but I'm holding out to ring on the 19th will update when I do X

My son was awarded 6/12 and they said the payment was authorised the same day. It’s still not arrived in my bank yet. They say 3-5 working days.

😩so many getting 3rd texts today what was your dates for texts and scan date I didn’t see much progress over weekend but a few been awarded today xx

@Toad90 im 2nd august and had a letter through today, sent 5th December. Didnt get any text or anything.

i had put it out my mind abit as I know I’ll probably be well after Xmas but then the text got me stressed again 🤦🏻‍♀️😩

@Loumumoftwo it should be no later than Wednesday. I wish it would hurry up, he’s patiently waiting with a haul in his online basket 😂 x

I called to get an update today (scan date 23/8, first text 31/10 second text 21/11) and the recorded message says it’s currently taking 20 weeks for new claims and not to call until after 20 weeks is up.

Should I wait? Also, I’m getting some evidence from school, how do I send in additional evidence please? Can you submit it online?

my little girl has been awarded mrc today and her payment will be 9th jan and 9th jan is my pip payment day. my son is in dla and his dla payment is two weeks after mine hope that helps xxx

they’re taking between 18-20 weeks so id say you’re looking at very end of this month or beginning of January

Scan date 11/8 called today was told it’s taking 21 weeks to go to dm so looking at middle of January

Long time lurker!! My scan date was 07.08 and I’ve received a text this afternoon confirming that my son qualifies for DLA. Fingers crossed for everyone else waiting!

Been a week tomorrow since my daughter been awarded and havnt got the letter let , how long did it actually take for the letter to arrive, hoping it come tomorrow as got job centre on Wednesday morning and want it all sorted out so can focus on my daughter.
