Morning girls and boys

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yeah, I think she is worried about the "rogue" c/m out there who go way over ratios etc, rather than about the money per se.

Hi everyone

Well, I've had mindee napping since 1pm! Poor love has been having problems sleeping and think it's down to her molar tooth giving her problems Other baby mindee with the gunky eye yesterday is off today. Her mum went straight to the Dr's when she picked up and said it's infectious so keeping her off. Poor little love, I knew she wasn't right yesterday. This is a new mindee, only been here a few weeks, so nice to see a parent who is honest and not pretending it's not infected etc. Since mindee has been napping, I've been trying to build a Back to the Future car for ds but we really need a big box and not lots of bits and pieces to tape together that won't hold a roof up etc - he's been getting very frustrated!!!

Just having a cuppa and some choccy now after writing the diary.

Rose - I also wouldn't bother. If she's like that, she's hardly likely to bother filling it in is she I recently emailed parents asking if anyone would write me an up to date reference and amazingly I got the 2 most fantastic references pretty much immediately. I really wanted something off the mum of the 2 sisters but gathered she probably couldn't be bothered as I gave notice to them! I wonder if it would be worth doing a questionnaire for her to possibly complete We DID leave on good terms and the kids are supposed to be coming to ds's birthday party soon.

dmo - enjoy your pampering. I saw what happened yesterday, how awful for you. Hope the treat cheers you up a bit

SB - I feel for you. Had flu a couple of weeks ago (not had since I was 19!) and paracetamol didn't do anything to help Hope you feel better soon!

crace - hope you feel more awake

Mo - WOW, fab new car

Shosh - hope you enjoyed your trip

NN - at firemen's hoses!!

mumlove, Violet, MamaG, Boys & Katy - hello

Right, mindee finally woken up so I'm outta here.

MaureenMLove · 21/02/2008 15:38

Hello, I'm back from tea with the Queen! Actually, I've been and done my food shopping too and NOW I'm going out again to Pimp my car! Its colour...... wait for it!....... its yellow! Very cute and very girl about town! DH is calling it my Noddy car. Kbear, I think, is refusing to get in a yellow car! I've just seen a little yellow mini round the corner, with big pink flower stickers on it, so I'm off to see what I can find! Bought a new CD/stereo to go in it too.
Its not brand new, I'm a cm remember! Its 5 years old, but its very wittle and coot!

dmo · 21/02/2008 16:42

love that programme pimp my car, my boys were watching it the other night, i think i will buy a shed and give them a call yellow sounds fab mo goes with the brownie uniform

feeling loads better now been to the ball pool and had a nice afternoon, all the children have now gone home and me and my boys are having hot chocolate and biscuits

shoshe · 21/02/2008 16:59

Mo if you find where to get BIG car stickers let me know, want some for my Bongo, DGD wants me to turn it into the scoobie doo van

That will stop DH nicking it to go half a mile to the shop, when he has no petrol in his

mumlove · 21/02/2008 17:04

1 mindee gone and I need to sit down with a coffee, it's been a long day. I'm glad half term is nearly over and DD will be going back to school.

shoshe - my DD will want a ride if you do the scooby doo van as she is always on the look out for it when we go out at the weekends.

southernbelle77 · 21/02/2008 17:32

Mo, you should get a big TAXI sign for it, sounds like it would fit right in

Just had an awful experience - was at post office with dd and put her back in the car and then fell of the pavement, twisting my ankle and banging right down on my knees (one of which has arthritis in it and the other not being far behind) and now worried that I've hurt my little 'collection of cells'!
Plus I was totally embarrassed.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 21/02/2008 17:33

tremble

LadybirdG · 21/02/2008 17:38

rofl at noddy car

I wouldn't get in it either

MaureenMLove · 21/02/2008 18:10

Don't you diss my car! Its wuverly! Mr Kbear will be here later and no doubt I will bare the brunt of this evenings jokes!

Poor you SB. I'm sure your grain of rice will be fine!

looneytune · 21/02/2008 18:17

SB - poor thing, I know what you mean but I honestly think you should be more worried about your knees. They are very well protected in there and I managed to fall off a chair and land funny just before Christmas (at 12 weeks pg) and he's kicking me like mad right now

Shosh - if you do it, I wanna see pics!!

MaureenMLove · 21/02/2008 18:26

Will you Daphne or Thelma, Shoshe? And will you keep saying, 'those pesky kids!'

KaySamuels · 21/02/2008 18:34

KaySamuels · 21/02/2008 18:49

like the cars noddy car and scooby doo van do seem quite apt don't they!

Boysarelikedogs - hope you got tea sorted in the end! Me and DS had sneaky chippy for tea and I have hidden the rubbish from DP

DMO - hope you enjoy the pampering and glad your frazzled nerves are recovering.

SB- you poor thing!! Sure you will be fine apart from your knees. {hugs}

KatyMac · 21/02/2008 22:06

Tori has opened a can of worms

& I revisited the thread that upset me

MaureenMLove · 21/02/2008 22:09

Which thread Katy?

KatyMac · 21/02/2008 22:13

See my post of 13.30

MaureenMLove · 21/02/2008 22:14

OK. I've found Tori's It kinda jumped out at me on active threads!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 21/02/2008 22:21

Calmed down at home at last, that was v hairy.

Hmmm, tori's thread is a bit erm, unfortunate.

Hope you are all fine, see you around the boards

MaureenMLove · 21/02/2008 22:29

Gosh! What a day I've missed! Old Rita is a case, isn't she. I kinda get the pfb bit, but to actually write £££ really made it sound like we earn bundles!

I'm not posting on Toris thread, but I know where she's coming from too! I had a CM once and I readily admit that I used to get off the train, do my shopping and THEN get dd at times. However, I also raced home early to see her too! Trouble is, unless you are a CM, and have had years of parents excuses and reasons for having a half day and not collecting, you can't really comment. Hercules is getting a bit arsey, I reckon because she is guilty of the excuses! Someone else mentioned that their lo doesn't behave as well at home and won't settle, for them to do their jobs. Surely, if you had your kid around more often, you might be able to 'train' them to settle!

Bless Tori, she's gonna get slaughtered!

KatyMac · 21/02/2008 22:31

That's what I thought (about Tori)

But Rita was I too rude?
