LoveMyGirls · 15/02/2008 08:22

Happy Birthday LT!

I've got a quiet day here after having 6 children most of the week, only got my 2 and 1 baby then i've got 2 hours with just my own later then pick up another mindee. Think i need to pop to the bank and shop while i've only got my two.

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 08:28

Love the way you throw that in, Katy! So casual, like its just another day at the office! Scarey stuff, but it'll all be worth it when your dream comes true.

KaySamuels · 15/02/2008 09:01

Katy am so pleased for you that things are coming together, with all the hard work you are putting in you deserve it!

crace · 15/02/2008 09:02

I can well imagine you are feeling a bit wobbly, it must be a bit of a shock to have gotten this far. Aww, so pleased for you

vInTaGeVioLeT · 15/02/2008 09:06

happy birthday to you
happy birthday to you
happy birthday dear looney
happy birthday to you!!!!!!!

mindee 1 due at 9.15 mindee 2 at 12pm - ds woke at 7.50 so a lovely lie in 3 days running!!!

look like i've worked out a solution to the problems earlier in the week and won't have to lose anyone but we all now how quickly situations can change in this job

looneytune · 15/02/2008 09:12

Thought i'd pop in very quickly before the mad morning starts, yesterday was also mad and never got back into the staff room!

Thanks for the birthday wishes and look forward to the cake Mo Had a horrible start to my birthday and was going to pretend it's not today but if I get 10 mins later for a cuppa, may sit down and open my cards (didn't get a chance to sit down really yesterday!).

Right, best grab a cuppa before it kicks off. I was supposed to have a quiet birthday with just me and D.P. baby (going to change this to FT baby as she's full time and won't be paying double anymore as managed to fill most spaces with 3 other babies!!). It's baby's 1st birthday today and mine of course so were going to have a quiet party day, just me and her but now I have the toddler from yesterday (tiring!) coming at 9.30, then at 10am I have this 8 week old baby and mum signing contracts etc as starting Monday then at 11am I have settling in session with a new 8 month old baby who is probably starting properly next week and he's here til 1pm.

Looking forward to 1pm when it's just the 2 for the rest of the day. Hoping for an early finish as birthday baby getting picked up around 4/4.30pm today and the adhoc toddler goes at 5.30.

Need to book a table for meal out tonight, if I can be bothered!!

Have a good day everyone

crace · 15/02/2008 09:17

Good gosh LT, sounds exhausting just reading this! All ok, sorry that your bday didn't start off right.

Fabbo news, I just had a call from physio re: numb hands, they can squeeze me in next Tuesday for my assessment. I am SO SO excited. It's really such a PITA and I am thrilled. Good ole NHS for once.

mumlove · 15/02/2008 09:28

Looney - a big Happy Birthday to you.

Katy - Good luck today.

Morning everyone, I have just thrown put DD in the bath for some peace (yes it's only 9.30 and have the rest of the day to go yet!) then off into town to do a little shopping, if she behaves we might get some lunch there.
I here lots of splahing so off to wash her hair.

looneytune · 15/02/2008 09:29

crace - that's great news, fingers crossed they can help!! That's reminded me, must ring oestopath and rearrange appointment for next week! I've calmed down a bit now, I was FURIOUS with ds this morning as dh finally decided to get his ar*e out of bed and sort him for a change so I didn't have to rush and get up. Well, ds wasn't having any of it, wanted mummy to sort him and I ignored. Anyway, dh came in at 7.50ish and said ds wouldn't come down so nothing has been done. I had a very very hard time getting ds to get ready and it was manic from the second I got up. I then was upset with dh as the one thing he COULD have done was ds's packed lunch!! Dh left saying card on the kitchen side and a pressie from ds there. There was a card there for mummy which wasn't shut as ds needed to sign I've just chucked everything with the rest of the cards until i've decided if I want to open anything. No present coming from dh as he wants a particular something and couldn't find it so still looking. I'll forgive him that bit as he did get me lovely red roses and big heart shaped box of chocs yesterday with car and tacky valentines crackers lol. Just hope the morning goes smoothly, feeling tad bit stressed today

Sorry, moan over. Be back maybe after 1pm

mumlove · 15/02/2008 09:29

Sorry I cannot spell today, so I will sit in the corner.

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 09:46

I have a cunning plan for when Katy gets up and running!

We could all camp, in my tent, in her grounds! Just us girls, no kids, those south of me (London) can meet me at Jnc 31 on M25 (Dartford Tunnel), those north can meet us there! Nannynick can have his own teepee next to us!

What d'ya think Katy? Can you bare the thought of us mental lot in rl. And how in gods name would you explain us! There'd be empty wine bottles all around the outside of the tent and just at your big cutting the ribbon moment, a zip would open on the tent and something resembling Swampy would poke her head out. That'd be Shoshe!

For a party??
Cool

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 10:00

Well, I've got room enough for about 8 in my tent! You're only about 2 1/2 hours from me, and only another hour on top for those in the Reading area. As long as its not a winter month, we'll be fine in a tent!

August/September hopfully

crace · 15/02/2008 10:37

Katy, I thought you'd be so scared of Mo's idea that you wouldn't open at all!

I would love to join but I think I am not going to be able to come, as much as that would be FAB. Baby will be 4 months by then and I am not thinking I will be functional.

KatyMac · 15/02/2008 10:38

No - of course not

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 10:50

Are you ashamed of us!

We'd have to do a weekend anyway, don't panic!

I just think 'en masse' "MN childminders incorp" might scare people
