When do you interview?

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 13:37

Its Friday 29th Feb at the School. Its only about 10 mins down the road. Going against rush hour traffic too. Its 25 per week, so I'll still be able to pop in here. If I'm still welcome!

I've found a cake for the birthday girl! For Looney Its a good website actually for ideas and tips.

Mo - excellent news, hope all goes well when you have the interview.

Didn't manage to go shopping as DD wanted to play with her pet shop, so as it's her day I let her choose, but we did pop to my mums to help make the beds for my neices to sleep in. Passed the chip shop on the way home and they were doing a special of sausage and chips for £1 so brought them for lunch.
Now trying to sew on brownie badges for tomorrow!

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 13:44

Oh I hate sewing badges! Towards the end of DD's time at Brownies, I used safety pins! I figured I'd only be taking them off and sewing them back on to a camp blanket! What's she up to tomrrow then?

All the local rainbows/brownies/guides are getting together and doing something for World Thinking Day (3 hours of peace) . At least I will be able to get the shopping done in half the time.

ROSEgarden · 15/02/2008 13:58

Hey Mo, fingers crossed chick..would be fab if you could get it..will be willing you on, on the day..well all mindees at school or asleep except almost 2 yr old..we just sat and ate 2 buscuits each and coverd them with the choc fondant icing we bought for yesterdays cakes..yumm, dont know whos more coverd in choc her or me..but now she keeps saying "luff ooh xxx"(love you-my name)grin..ahh bribery

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 14:13

We're not bothering this year! Very poor show on our part, but everyone is so busy and Thinking Day is 22nd Feb, so in the middle of half term. We will think about our international friends during our usual meetings instead!

Well looks I got back just in time for some cake! Looks very nice

Had a great morning with mil and nephew and dd at soft play and then having lunch out afterwards! Blimin expensive lunch (for what it was) but it was nice all the same!

Now back and feeling rather exhausted after all that running about so came in for a cuppa and a biccie but cake will do just nicely

Feel for all your guys struggling with late payers. I am pretty lucky although still act as if it is all ok if they are late which I know I shouldn't. Especially when I really needed the money that day in order to get to bank or something! Tried the SO route, but that all ended worse than before so gave that up straight away!

Well that was a quick cuppa! DD is making me go off to play Elefun!! Oh the joys

crace · 15/02/2008 16:30

Oh, I could use some non virtual cake I don't want to be bothered to make one though so I guess it's tough eh?

We are quiet this afternoon!

looneytune · 15/02/2008 16:32

What a day, worst birthday ever and I'm such an idiot for adding all the extra things to what would have been a nice calm day!!! Oh well, you live and learn!!

Now down to one toddler mindee who is being entertained by ds in front of me (she LOVES him, only came yesterday so it's cute to watch).

Just going to make a cuppa and have a slice of Mo's wonderful cake! Thanks for that hun, cheered me up

Mo - great news about the job interview, best of luck!!!

Hello stranger! Almost done, 25 mins (and counting). I swear by the time Friday comes I am just done in Still super excited about my physio on Tuesday, hooray - I might even get a massage on the NHS. Ok, here's hoping, what will really happen is that they will send me away with "exercises" to do and self massage. lol

crace · 15/02/2008 17:57

Self massage on the neck people.. don't get the wrong IDEA

(note to self, preview messages first)

MaureenMLove · 15/02/2008 18:02

ooh er! Unexpected extra tenner in my pocket from having mindee for an hour and half. Slightly over hourly rate, but I did step in at the last minute, so I didn't say no! Gonna get KFC for tea with it!

Hello I'm back!

LT you are a mad woman! I order you to put your feet up and not get up again except for beverages and food, and only if your DH can't get em for ya!

Well I rounded up all my payments eventually.
I always charge late payment fee, they don't care, they just pay it!! Trouble is I stress and panic until they bring it and they saunter up my path while I have spent the last 12/24/48 hours etc worrying!

MMl good luck with the job, you will still have to come here and bring cakes though! {stern face}

My pet rabbit Pinky (yes she turned up), bit my little precious mindee today!!! Poor little thing she got his little finger, not too bad but am taking her to RSPCA tomorrow as I don't want to risk her doing it again!

Don't know what I am going to tell DS - he is really atatched to her. He declares his love for her on a daily basis! Don't want to tell him why as he will just add it to reasons to kick up a fuss when little mindees are here. May have to use the old farm adage.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 15/02/2008 20:56

oh kay my rabbit used to get aggressive around this time of year - it's probably just hormones - can't you just not get her out when mindees are about? surely ds will just learn to be carefull where he puts his fingers?

vInTaGeVioLeT · 15/02/2008 20:58

by the way i finished work at 5.30

taken half-term as holiday

and relax relax relax

apart from the fact i've booked a dentist app. and a smear test for this week as i can hardly take my mindees to that

crace · 15/02/2008 21:12

Yep Violet you know how to "relax" Glad you get a hols though

Kay, about your poor bunny. Is it avoidable having to give it up?
