Hi shoshe, feeling better?

Doing ok here, won't go into a moan this early

Morning!

looneytune · 06/02/2008 08:00

Morning.

Got new baby today, started at 7.30am and here til 5pm. Had for 3 settling in sessions now (2 hours, 2 hours & 5 hours), she's not used to being without mum so expecting lot of tears again Luckily the mum of the toddler I was also supposed to have starting today, saw me in the chemist on Monday and suggested I put off this week and she'll come an extra day next week instead. Good job really

How you feeling now shosh?

looneytune · 06/02/2008 08:00

crace - how ya doing? You can moan whatever time it is - what's up chuck?

shoshe · 06/02/2008 08:01

Feeling human again thank you, was the worst cold I have had in a long time. Still got a hacking cough, but thats all.

Lovely to hear its another boy LT

Crace how long have you to go?

LT good news on baby, they all start out that way though don't they? I forget that my baby who is almost 11mos now just to scream through the early days. Now he is a dream and beams when he sees us.

Nothing new to moan about just the usual numb hands and tiredness.

I made progress however, I gave notice to one of my 2 - 3 hours a week person. Today I will give it to the other and then every Tuesday I get the whole afternoon to do the massive amounts of things I need to do. Sort out my sons schooling for Sept (going to big boy school yikes) and my daughter into a preschool somewhere as she will be over 2.5 in Sept. I feel like time is ticking away, only 2.5 months until C day (lol) and I am feeling the pressure.

My very good friend last night had her first baby by c-section and it's kind of freaked me out. I hadn't come to terms with the fact that I have to do this again, and a little tearful over it.

Sorry LT you asked! (Thanks for letting me moan)

crace · 06/02/2008 08:07

Shoshe, I know, not fair just when you get hubby back! Nice to have him home?

MaureenMLove · 06/02/2008 08:17

Morning lovely ladies!

Shoshe a word in your shell like! A couple of posters are having trouble reading thread titles with thigs like &&&&, @@@@, and stuff in them. Something to do with the way their computer reads it. EG, it reads a * as STAR, so their titles say
STAFF ROOM starstarstarstarstarstar. We had a wee nudge from Lapin I think it was, last week and we promised not to do it anymore, but since you were ill last week, you probably missed that day!

Anyway. hoping for some damn holiday news today. Getting bored with it now. No kids til 4.30pm (after initial school run that is), so I'll wait for the post, if I get anything good, I'll go shopping, if not, I'll sulk in here all day!

crace · 06/02/2008 08:20

I thought we could do it if it was on the rear part of it?

MaureenMLove · 06/02/2008 08:23

Hadn't heard that one, could be, I'll have to look out for those who have a problem with it. I'm not very clever in computers! I learnt to type on a manual typewriter and didn't even have a computer at work until I was 21!

eleanorsmum · 06/02/2008 08:27

Oh dear, what a school run! New baby (10 months) understandably crying at times but then other baby (double pay one) cries because other one is crying and then new baby cries louder and then D.P. baby does I KNOW it will get better and it's just the first day but still not feeling 100% and well, I just found 2 baby girls screaching this morning a bit much!!! lol Need to clear breakfast bits then I think new baby might have a nap and I may have a cuppa. Got an appointment with physio in 4 weeks but as it's BAD now (even sitting down at night etc), I'm going to go into my overdraft and pay for some oestopathy sessions as this is what a lot of people have recommended. Don't think I can wait 4 weeks and then have not much done like last time! Fingers crossed that will help because I'll be in a better mood all round if it does

God, all I do in whinge these days

MaureenMLove · 06/02/2008 09:31

No, he looks like a girl! What's with the shaggy locks! I like real men. Not tarty, 'look at me' men. I like men who do real work and are good with their hands!

MaureenMLove · 06/02/2008 09:36

I like sportsmen too! None of this namby pamby acting rubbish!

MaureenMLove · 06/02/2008 09:41

Oh sorry, its a staff room isn't it!

LT, my plaster baby used to be like that. She would cry as soon as I looked at her! Then if I had the double buggy, whoever was sitting with her, would cry too! Nightmare! People used to avoid walking to school with me and I when people looked at my new mindee, I used to shout, DON'T LOOK AT HER!
