Hello anyone who is a) still up and b) sober!

I'm back from my party. Yawn. Not my friends and not in the mood for a drink either. I've got the most awful pain in my hip, which meant I stood badly all night and now my back hurts!

I'm having a huge Baileys now and pate on toast! Now I'm happy!

party still going on downstairs but ive nipped upstairs to bed now as i will be up making breakfast for guest in the morning

Sorry but I went to bed last night, so didn't stay up.

Happy New Year to you all! Went to a party with dh, to be honest I was bored stiff! There was a good spread but it was not the same without the kids (even though 2 are 17 and 14 yrs).

Next year it will be back to normal, party at our house with the neighbours and their families, a good spread with Iceland's help (thats why Mums go to Iceland!!) spill out on to the street (cul-de-sac) at midnight with the party poppers and fireworks even in the pouring rain! We usually have people dancing in our lounge and dh being the dj!!

I don't go out to manchester as the meanies at the Manchester council had no party for the 3rd year running. Taxis cost a small fortune anyway and don't turn up when you've booked them.

Hey M2L, you sound like you had a good a time a me! Quite boring party, because the neighbours didn't do one this year! Like you, next year it'll be back to normal though!
