I AM posh! (I'm so not!) Sadly, the name is only because its the only one my mum could think of that didn't remind her of a snotty little kid that she'd taught! How exciting, that means I've got two friends now!

shoshalite · 14/11/2007 12:55

SweetSnowflake - can still smell it now dettol smell has gone!!! (senses really hightened with this pregnancy and I'm sat ON the smell and it's horrible!!!) This bicarb of soda......does it work after you've already washed the sick away? If so, do you just sprinkle it on the area and that's it????

MaureenMLove · 14/11/2007 13:10

Gimme a clue to find you and I will!

looneytune · 14/11/2007 13:16

Please.....ANYONE.....this sick stinks and I feel really ill from the smell.....!!!!

looneytune · 14/11/2007 13:17

Mo - have a look at the 'fed up with ofsted group' - see the admin name, that's me - then look at my list of friends - shosh is one which says 'met randomly...MN' See if you can guess!

MaureenMLove · 14/11/2007 13:25

OK, I'm on my why! I have to say, I can't get my head round it atm! I'm feeling a tad old about the whole thing!

looneytune · 14/11/2007 13:26

SICK SMELL - sorry, want to grab attention.....can no-one help???

MaureenMLove · 14/11/2007 13:33

What about the bicarb? Its worth a try. Use it like Shake n Vac. I poked you btw!

Is it very sad that 3 of my 4 friends, I have never met before in my life! Call me old fashioned, but I like to ring my friends and talk on the phone!

MaureenMLove · 14/11/2007 13:39

Blimey LT, you've got 105 friends! I feel quite inadequate now! I'll have to start looking up old school chums, I suppose that given that we're all 40 this year, I might get a few party invites!

mumlove · 14/11/2007 13:42

Looney - I use that frebreeze spray ,but you really need to keep open all the windows as well to let the fresh air help. It might take at least 2 days for the smell to go!

fruitloop79 · 14/11/2007 13:43

Hi everyone, I'm new to all this. (stand up)My names fruitloop and I'm a childminder (sits down)

looneytune · 14/11/2007 13:45

Hello fruitloop - you can come in but it's the rules that you have to bring goodies first

Mo - did you find Shosh then?

Mumlove, will put heating on and open windows again. Done the bicarb of soda and just hope it works as it's making me feel really ill (before being pregnant my sense of smell was rubbish!)

fruitloop79 · 14/11/2007 13:48

I've always got goodies. Apple rice cakes for my mindees and Smartie cakes for thr grown-ups, mmmmm

mumlove · 14/11/2007 13:48

Looney - try not to have the heating on if possible it will make the smell worse.

fruitloop79 · 14/11/2007 13:50

My charges are all sound asleep, my mum's on her way round so thought I'd introduce myself while i can!

mumlove · 14/11/2007 13:50

Hello fruitloop, how long have you been childminding ?
I've been CM for nearly 14 yrs.

looneytune · 14/11/2007 13:51

oh no......but i sit right in front of the window and it's soooooooo cold and my knees seize up if I'm not careful boo hoo.

looneytune · 14/11/2007 13:52

Mmmmmmmmmm Smarty cakes!! - you're in

By the way.....I like cooked breakfasts in the morning (it's not my fault....it's what the baby wants!! )

fruitloop79 · 14/11/2007 13:54

ooooooh, a year. Yes I'm very new! was a Nanny before. Have my own DS now so now work from home. It's soooo bloody stressful! Nannying was so much easier.

MaureenMLove · 14/11/2007 13:55

Hey, new blood! Yay! Good afternoon Fruitloop, like the name. What's the low down then? How many mindees ya got and which part of the country are you in?

fruitloop79 · 14/11/2007 13:56

congrats on the pregnancy, how much longer? sounds like your in early stages if your throwing up, whoops, sorry to remind you! have a ginger biccie. I used it as an excuse when i was pg. Would devour a whole pack of ginger biccies and I didnt even get sickness

fruitloop79 · 14/11/2007 14:00

I'm from sw london, got four mindees in total. 11 months, 18 months, 14 months, 8 and my own 2 yr old. not all at once thank god

looneytune · 14/11/2007 14:01

fruitloop - I'm only 8+4 so a way to go yet! Due 21st June! It's not me throwing up, it's mindee yesterday. I have no mindees today so sat around and all I can think about is the smell. Done bicarb of soda and now run out, what's the difference between that and baking powder??? Anyway, someone else just suggested saucer of vinegar nearby so will try that IF we have any.
