And now I really AM stressing, I feel like I have no time to sort stuff out - weird as I was so desperate to start with and now I'm just scared - is that normal?

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 16:45

Wouldn't dare laugh - I've never had tarot cards read, but been to plenty of mediums etc. I'd love to do tarots actually, but there's nothing I really need to know atm. My child baring days were over some years ago and everything is just ticking over atm.

Stop worrying, that won't do you any good at all. There's nothing you can do about it now, you're pg and what wil be will be. God, that must sound really weird - YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!!

LoveMyGirls · 16/10/2007 16:48

{lmg comes in with a bottle of champers and an oj for looney [wink}

I know it's early BUT we do need to celebrate in style!!!!!!!!!!!!

(plus i've been stressed and grumpy today and could do with getting pissed so i'll drink your share looney!!!!!!!)

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 16:52

Nice one LMG! Cheers Looney! Good health. Just take the next couple of weeks to let it all sink in and then we'll all lend a hand to get things straight in your mind. Its a lot easier to be objective if you're not directly involved. Is this our first staff room baby? I feel strangely attached already!

LMG, sorry I couldn't come up with anything more solid for your problems today. You really are doing everything you can though, you mustn't take it personally. We've said before, unless you have the backing of the parents 100%, its going to take a long time.

Megsdaughter · 16/10/2007 16:57

Can I be onery granny

We will be all counting down the time with you Looney

What a lovely note to finishe the day on

I cant stop

Thanks everyone, god....NO ALCOHOL....NO PATE....NO...??? what else aren't I allowed??? Oh, and do I have to have those yucky decaf tea bags again?? Best stock the staffroom up with decaf stuff then

God, seeing someone tell me I'm pregnant like that is really really weird. Last time I was pg was nearly 5 yrs ago!!!

Bless MO - you're free to babysit any time if you feel that attached!!!

Thanks about letting me air things in here, I may well do that as I've not been thinking straight for a while....and now I know why!

I'm a little worried about my tummy as already I can't fit into some things! I always wear a very small vest top with no cardy in the house, well, especially at the end of the day (get too hot and bothered after the dinners etc) - hope no one notices!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 17:03

Oh Shosh - I'd love you to be onery granny Hey, I'll have to put scan pics etc on Facebook too and then you can watch it grow Just hope I don't get the dreaded swollen feet again - it was terrible last time (got pics to prove!) and I had to finish work early after being told by the company Dr to pack up my desk and stop working!!

At least I don't feel sick (yet)....with ds I had all sorts of symptoms by this time.

Oh.....I need you all to pray it's NOT twins....I have strong possibility and I just can't have that due to my numbers!!

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 17:04

Yeah right, I'll babysit. I charge £3.50p/w between 9 & 5 and unsociable hours are double time, with absolutely NO overnight care!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 17:06

£3.50 per WEEK - can you move in???

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 17:10

EEEEK! I told you I'm getting old! Obviously £3.50p/hour!!

Anyone there??? I'm really worried about my tummy!!! How the hell do I hide the fact I've suddenly put on weight (I already was worried about it but now I know, I feel like I'm hiding it). What if someone asks me???

StrawberryMartini · 16/10/2007 18:58

LOL! I always look about 4 months pregnant and no-one ever asks me... I don't think people dare. If they did just say 'Oh I'm just feeling a bit bloated' like they do on the Danone ads!!

StrawberryMartini · 16/10/2007 18:58

Or is it Benecol? Or Actimel?

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 19:13

My concern is it's all happened suddenly - same happened with ds and people commented however I wasn't needing to hide is like I am now Oh well, hopefully they won't notice.

MaureenMLove · 16/10/2007 19:14

You do what all good actresses do on the soaps when they're up the duff, always stand behind things and hold things in front of you!

Do you usually wear tight tops? There's plenty of swingy style smock tops around atm and a long cardie would cover a multiple of sins.

When can you get a scan and how far gone do you think you might be? Oh, so many questions! I will get worse you know!

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 19:29
  • ya crack me up!

Yes, I wear fairly tight tops. I could try some more floaty ones but then I worry that it's TOTALLY different to the type of thing I wear and they may think they look like maternity clothes???!!! Oh, I should stop worrying but I'm sure you understand, I don't want them to guess or find out any other way than me telling them! Think I'll go for the tracky bottoms as jeans are tight and that way, it's like a whole new casual look rather than a change of style iyswim.

I've got a Dr's appointment on Monday afternoon and Friday morning (both next week). Made Fri one first as that's the Dr I wanted to see but then I thought I can't wait that long so the nearest I could get with any Dr and not meaning ds or older mindee with me is Monday. I'm going to BEG for a dating scan as I think I've got enough reason - totally unsure on dates but using an online one, I work out I'm due end of June(ish) but I'm now not convinced my last period was a period (as had mc before ds and that one was a month further than I thought because I had a period as normal the first month.

I WANT TO KNOW NOW!!!!

nannynick · 16/10/2007 19:30

Congratulations Looney.

Perhaps you could say (if anyone notices weight increase) that you have been stressed recently and that affects your weight, so if they could be extra nice, pick their kids up on time etc. then that would be lovely

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 19:32

Nice one Nick Actually, I could say I've been comfort eating, must be the weather????

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 19:33

Actually Nick, I sent you a message in staffroom that day you went to the lookout recently (was going to ask if I could join you!

Anyway......I've got next week off and it's just me and ds for half term so I thought I'd try there - do you recommend?

hennipenni · 16/10/2007 19:33

No. no, no Looney, I didn't think you came across as being aggressive just very tearful at times (thats how I knew I was pg with DD2!).

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 19:37

hehe, I've been very tearful since I came off the pill, think it's just the hormones settling and then obviously becoming pg

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 16/10/2007 19:38

Oh....and if you want to hear how bad the tears got.....ask LMGs I was a blubbering wreck last Friday!!!

mumlove · 16/10/2007 19:39

What did DH say when you told him?
