Morning!

I'm hurting today. Far too much running around yesterday with the Guides! They made me play ladders and thats not good when you're nearly 40! Not sure I'll be able to manage Salsa tonight now!

Kettles on!

Morning ALL - Isn't it a wonderful day

Champagne all round (is it too early?)

Oh happy day........

looneytune · 19/09/2007 09:10

Mo - you're mad!

Katymac - great stuff!! If you decide to have some champagne, can you sneak us a glass??

Well, I've done the nursery run and now waiting for the sisters to arrive or a phonecall to say they're not coming. I doubt very much I'll get a phonecall but when they do arrive, I'll be making it very clear that I will phone and send home if she's like she was yesterday!!!!

MaureenMLove · 19/09/2007 09:18

Hey you! Well done! I looked in very briefly on your thread last night to see if it went well, but my bed was calling, so I didn't have time to post. So, whats next?

looneytune · 19/09/2007 10:23

Right, girls arrived late, mum insists that the reason she was like that yesterday is down to her sleeping in the study and wasn't happy so didn't sleep well. I said fine but the temperature was high and if it's happens again or she's really bad again, I WILL send her home. I being touch Looneytune today (PinkChick knows from another thread of mine )

looneytune · 19/09/2007 10:23

I'm being tough

mumlove · 19/09/2007 10:40

Morning all, just come in for coffee while mindees are playing nicely with the cars. We have already done some lovely pictures for them to take home. Need to remember to do the preschool and school pick up before lunch with out rushing (get carried away with playing).

Excellent news Katy.

Looney I hope you have a better day today.

looneytune · 19/09/2007 10:44

Me too! Parents turned up at 6.30 last night and I had someone coming round at 7pm so rushed around clearing up/cleaning like a mad woman then person turned up (quote for windows) and didn't leave til around 10.30!!!! So I didn't get one minute to reflect on what a bad day it was then as soon as the person left, I burst into tears! (out of tiredness I think)

Anyway, I'm still shaking a bit from something that happened half hour ago (link but it's given me some entertainment to start the day.

Just off to give baby her bottle now.

Shoshable · 19/09/2007 10:58

Did you hear about my rush for afternoon school run after having interview with new mum which ran over a bit. Was in such a fluster, rushing around like headless chicken to get there in time.

Got there and no mindee???? Gran was picking up and I forgot!!!!

looneytune · 19/09/2007 11:00

Oh no, not surprised you were flustered!!

Shoshable · 19/09/2007 11:13

Thing id Mum had told me twice tht Gran was picking up, jusy forgor least i didnt do it the other way and forget to pick up when I was suppose to

LoveMyGirls · 19/09/2007 11:53

I'm feeling very down at the moment. Please can you all look and post if you can on my thread pretty please i'm going crazy

looneytune · 19/09/2007 12:26

Bump for LMGs - i'll be looking after the rush mate

StrawberryMartini · 19/09/2007 12:32

Hi all! Can I put a high-back booster in the front passenger seat? It will go in the middle of the back but it's going to be awkward getting two of them in next to each other. My airbag cannot be switched off so want to make sure it's safe - there's nothing in the instruction manual about it.

Thanks - have a good day!!

looneytune · 19/09/2007 12:33

Just quicy as feeding baby (she's messing with cup atm) - no, can't put any kids in front if airbag, sorry

LoveMyGirls · 19/09/2007 12:34

I don't think you can put children in the front passenger seat if there is an air bag, unless you find a way to switch it off.

StrawberryMartini · 19/09/2007 12:40

So how old do they have to be before they can?

looneytune · 19/09/2007 12:42

about 11 I think, i'll look for website when baby has been fed

looneytune · 19/09/2007 12:43

bugga, baby just taken lid of cup and got water everywhere - don't know how on earth she managed that

MaureenMLove · 19/09/2007 12:47

I think its 11 yts or 130cm high. Sorry, I sound a bit vague, because I never need to put anyone in the front and if I do, its always dd and she's 12!

OP posts:
MaureenMLove · 19/09/2007 12:47

That and my car's so old, it doesn't have a front airbag anyway!

OP posts:
looneytune · 19/09/2007 12:48

I stand corrected (however I wouldn't be happy if my child was where there is an airbag.

this is from the website:

  1. Can I use a forward facing child seat or booster in a seat fitted with an active air-bag?

'See what the car handbook says about children in seats with frontal air-bags. This can vary from car to car. We strongly recommend that advice should be followed because air-bags are powerful safety devices that must be treated with respect. Children, and adults for that matter, should not sit close to an active frontal air-bag. We suggest that the car seat should be as far back as possible from an air-bag.'
