My CM has found a lump in her breast which obviously she's worried sick about and has booked herself an appointment at a private hospital for Tuesday, she's told me this, not asked if it's ok iyswim. Now I know i'd be worried to death about finding a lump but I really cannot take this time off and DH would be unpaid which we can't afford. I don't want to sound like a heartless cow but she had Friday off at short notice for an uncles funeral and now this, would it be completely awful to ask her to rebook for Wednesday ?

what a thread!

Can't help wondering if the cm is real and if shes ok

AngelaChill · 05/09/2006 22:20

Well the outcomes is that of course the lump is a cyst which needs removing on the NHS at Christmas.
I actually blame the CM's mother for the hysteria and panic but there you go.

AngelaChill - I am so pleased to hear that everything is fine for your CM. You must be so relieved for her, and I hope you demonstrated this with empathy, tact and understanding. Not entirely convinced that you did however, judging by your comment, "Well the outcomes is that of course the lump is a cyst which needs removing on the NHS at Christmas. I actually blame the CM's mother for the hysteria and panic but there you go". I really hope this thread is the work of a troll, as the idea of it being true is shocking. Attention-seeking at its' worst IMO.

Even a private clinic wouldn't give the results on the same day.
Why do I keep coming back to this thread? Lol

dmo · 06/09/2006 11:10

how can she be sure it will be removed by christmas?
this thread is cool

trinityrhino · 06/09/2006 11:27

why didn't the childminder just take the children to the appointment, thats what mum's have to do and it would have solved the problems all around

looneytune · 06/09/2006 13:08

Personally, if it was me, I'd have been so worried and upset by it all that I wouldn't want my mindees to see me like this and would want to go alone. Also, not sure they'd be allowed??? My ds had to have a couple of appointments at the ENT part of the hospital and the letter specifically stated no other children, even siblings should attend.

If however the CM didn't mind taking them and it was allowed then yes, that could have been an option.

I actually think this is a troll and so the whole thing is fictional however, it's great and given me plenty of laughs!

AvaLou · 06/09/2006 13:10

AngelaChill, how is your DH doing keeping up the crappy maintenace payments on his £750 per day wage?
And you in that 5 bedroom house and all..

trinityrhino · 06/09/2006 13:11

ooops only read the first half of the thread before I posted but now it seem like a troll, weird one though

Nasty and blatantly lying, she says she has a dh who earns massive £x but I saw her post about her struggle as a single mother to get a pitiful maintenance cheque.

Plus all the rest.
It's fun though, I wonder how long she will keep posting and pretending, and changing the story.

That is so funny and so very sad, she obviously has no life.

What annoys me though is she's used a subject close to some people's hearts and was so cold about the whole thing. She needs bloody locking up!!!

AvaLou · 06/09/2006 17:43

It is sad, and fairly disturbing tbh.

I thought trolls would just be ones who post abuse or some random anal sex etc question then leave, not come back and post repeatedly.
