Not sure if this is it, if I disappear I'm either having a baby, or tucked up in bed fast asleep, all contractions having stopped.
Have been told that with my second baby I should be going in when the contractions are 10 minutes apart - is that really true?! 20 min drive to hospital, but obviously it definitely won't be more than that at this time.

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 21:27

I would love one thanks, had one from DH a few minutes ago and it really did help Just tried to watch Derren Brown but it's not the kind of thing you can half watch while wandering around and screaming!

T will be fine (as you well know it!) he is in the best place - seeing mummy like this probably isn't great for a 2 year old!!!

oooo good luck keep mobile

MoonlightMcKenzie · 18/09/2009 21:36

2cm only means your're 2cm. It doesn't give any indication of how long you have left. Some people go from 2cm to 9cm in 30mins, ESPECIALLY if their body has been doing a lot before hand, as has yours.

Don't lose heart. Try to relax and have loving thoughts and it will get things moving along. I still bet the baby will be here before the end of the day!

EasyEggs · 18/09/2009 21:37

Aww things are at least moving in the right direction

I went from 2-6cms in 45mins so you never know, fingers crossed for you

nevergoogledragonbutter · 18/09/2009 21:37

i think i was told about an hour per cm with the first.

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 21:38

And if you're saying owwwww a lot then things are definately moving along. Just make sure you head back there when you feel you need to, don't worry/think about making a nusiance of yourself at the hospital, they'd rather have you there than giving birth on the way!

Rossco · 18/09/2009 21:43
