What do your lady bits look like after vaginal birth?

Is it just ME or is anyone else a bit shocked by the appearance of their bits after giving birth vaginally?

I mean all I seem to see is the internal muscles - I'm sure there used to be more external skin there.

Should I just stop looking?!

(I'm not using my normal nickname on this thread, no chance!)

I think it may get better with time, but in the mean time there's not much you can do about it so I think that probably it is a good idea to stop looking...

kebabbits · 24/05/2005 20:55

Well now I feel like a FREAK!

It's been a few years already ...

It's not exactly something I can look up on Google though is it?!

Never looked.
FAB name BTW!

lilibet · 24/05/2005 20:55

Not something I have ever had the urge to look at tbh, not before children and certainly not after three!!

Why do you look?

JoolsToo · 24/05/2005 20:55

what an odd thread

kebabbits · 24/05/2005 20:56

I can't believe you haven't looked!

I looked about an hour afterwards.

I want to check out DH's view of things...

and see whether they did blanket stitch or what.

SPARKLER1 · 24/05/2005 21:04

PMSL - have read through this thread and have visions of contortionist (sp?) mumnsnetters at all angles in front of a mirror.

handlemecarefully · 24/05/2005 21:04

Well lets say I studiously avoided looking until a good few months after the event by which time everything had recovered...

tillykins · 24/05/2005 21:04

my tummy is too big to see over

foolysh · 24/05/2005 21:05

You really don't want to see this.
Gawd, no wonder it hurt so much.
