Birth weight of your babies?

I was just wondering what size babies you have had?
Does is always follow that each subsequent baby is heavier than the last?
One midwife said to me once that there's not always such a big difference between the first two but if you have a third it can be much bigger.
I have had 8lb 10oz, and 8lb 12oz and am curious if the third will be bigger still as my bump seems smaller than with the previous two.
Thanks!

I wish I'd had a c-sec. Poor thing had a black eye from the forceps. Was also affectionately known as "Summo" to the nurses on the ward.

DD 8lb 8.5oz (39+4)

DS 10lb 11oz (40+10)
He didn't fit newborn size at all & 0-3 size lasted about 10days before we had to move him up to 3-6...

definitely not having any more!

sobloodystupid · 10/04/2009 13:07

tvfriend · 10/04/2009 19:11

DD- 6lb- 4 weeks early
DS- 5lb 40z- 5 and a half weeks early
DS labour much longer but pretty painless

orangehead · 10/04/2009 19:12

ds1 - 8.7
ds2 - 7.8

duchesse · 10/04/2009 19:14

DS: 8 lb 12 oz
DD1: 7 lb 9 oz
DD2: 7 lb 8 oz

So not in my case, no. If you have Gestational Diabetes it might happen that they get bigger as you get older.

duchesse · 10/04/2009 19:15

And all were 10-13 days overdue- each later than the previous, although smaller birth weights each time.

troutpout · 10/04/2009 19:27

8lbs 10
8lbs 13

NatalieJane · 10/04/2009 19:38

DS1 40+5 weeks 7lb 15
DS2 41 weeks 8lb 10
DS3 39 weeks 6lb 10 (he had IUGR though, he was on course to be around 10lb before the complications)

pavlovthepregnantcat · 10/04/2009 19:39

38+4 5lbs. Perfectly healthy just little.

pavlovthepregnantcat · 10/04/2009 19:42

So I have some room for the next ones!

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 10/04/2009 19:43

1: 11.25oz
2: 4lb 2oz
3: 4lb 8oz

gibbberish · 10/04/2009 19:56

Mine proved you MW wrong too..

dd1 7.10
dd2 8.2
dd3 6.10
dd4 6.2

All 40+ weeks and induced

rozzyraspberry · 13/04/2009 17:50

I don't conform to what your midwife said:-

Ds1 6lbs 4
Ds2 9lbs 3
Ds3 8lbs 3

Needless to say I was a bit concerned about what size ds3 would be after ds2 being 3lbs heavier than ds1!

HeinzSight · 13/04/2009 20:51

DS1 10lb 10oz (9 days late)
DS2 10lb 4oz (5 days late)
DD 7lb 8oz (1 week early by ELCS)

DC4 we shall see!

RubyBlueberry · 13/04/2009 20:55

DD 10lb 10 - 19 days late
DS 9lb 14 - 1 day early by ELCS.

fruitshootsnweaveseasterbasket · 13/04/2009 20:58

6lbs 9oz
7lbs 12oz
7lbs 7oz
6lbs 6oz

all full term

Egg · 13/04/2009 21:05

DS1 (39+5) 7lbs 7
DD (twin) (37) 4lbs 11.5
DS2 (twin) (37) 5lbs 4.5

Whilst my three can't really prove or disprove the theory due to two of them being twins, I have to say the one that hurt the most coming out was teeny DD...

DefNotYummyMummy · 15/04/2009 21:02

39+4wks ds1 6lb11oz
39+1wks dd1 6lb3oz
But are girls lighter than boys ?
I wasn't able to sit on the couch when preg 2nd time as ds1 needs lots of exercise. Def weighed a lot lighter than when preg first time around.

juuule · 15/04/2009 21:10

My 3 boys were all lighter than all but one of my 6 girls.

knickers0nmahead · 15/04/2009 21:11

DD - 11 days late - 7lb4

DS - 11 days late - 9lb11

happyjules · 15/04/2009 21:24

dd1 8lb 5oz 39+4
dd2 7lb 13oz 40+2
2 perfect water births no pain relief needed. I was 2 stone lighter with dd2 don't know if that was the reason or just a coincidence.
