Birth weight of your babies?

I was just wondering what size babies you have had?
Does is always follow that each subsequent baby is heavier than the last?
One midwife said to me once that there's not always such a big difference between the first two but if you have a third it can be much bigger.
I have had 8lb 10oz, and 8lb 12oz and am curious if the third will be bigger still as my bump seems smaller than with the previous two.
Thanks!

LadyTrimmer · 29/03/2009 21:37

4andnotout · 29/03/2009 21:37

gemmiegoatlegs · 29/03/2009 21:48

kidcreoleandthehotcrossbuns · 29/03/2009 21:49

Simplysally · 29/03/2009 21:56

My dd was 8lb 60z but a week overdue by the dr's calcs.

MrsMattie · 29/03/2009 21:56

DS (1st) - 10lb 2 oz
DD (2nd) - 7lb 2 oz

Mind you, DS born at 42+5, DD at 38 wks, so might explain the 3 lbs difference in size!

popsycal · 29/03/2009 21:56

ds1 3 weeks early 7lb 10oz
ds2 1 day early 8lb 11oz
ds3 2 weeks early 7lb 6oz

SKYTVADDICT · 29/03/2009 21:57

DD1 6lb 10oz (38 weeks)
DD2 8lb 5oz (40 + 6 weeks)
DS1 8lb 13oz (41 weeks)
DS2 8lb 3oz (39 + 3 weeks)

Don't think there is a hard and fast rule really.

VintageGardenia · 29/03/2009 21:58

8lb 1 - 8 days over
10lb 12 - 4 days over

And no that second one wasn't a section

IwishIwasmorechocolatey · 29/03/2009 21:58

ds1 8lbs 12 1/2 oz (induced at 42 +5)
ds2 7lbs 11 1/2 oz (on due date)

Fleecy · 29/03/2009 22:01

DD 6lb 14oz (37+1)
DS 10lb 2oz (40+4 according to official dates, 12 days late according to my dates!)

So if you allow for DD being 3 weeks early and DS being nearly two weeks late, there probably wouldn't really be that much difference iyswim.
