Just a little reassurance needed if anyone's had similar experience. Am 42 weeks and been in early / pre labour for nearly a week ! Had sweep fri and was 3cm, then lots of strong tightenings fri night so not much sleep (or the night before). Was therefore very relieved to have nothing going on last night so had very good night's sleep. Then realised the little fella isn't wriggling around at all. Doula says don't worry. I'm thinking he's probably tired too and getting ready to pop out. But at the same time it's a bit worrying at this late stage in pregnancy ! I'm putting off going to hospital for a couple of hours as am trying for vbac and convinced every time I go in there that I will not be allowed out ! Any advice greatfully received ...

I don't know - should we wait a day or so to see if she posts?

Hulababy · 14/03/2005 18:06

Well she is 42 weeks and she may well have got to the hospital and they have started her off/she is in labour/etc.

I really, really hope so.

beansprout · 14/03/2005 18:18

I got to 42 weeks and they put you under HUGE pressure to be induced. I'm guessing (and hoping) they are on labour wards, doing what we do best!!! Keeping my fingers firmly crossed....

Just saw this thread. A baby that is not moving should always be checked out. I hope that all is well for Tomps. Was looking for Shazzy on the other thread so we can only assume they will both post birth announcements in the next few days.

I just did a quick search and tomps isn't a member of any of our antenatal clubs as far as I can see. I wonder if anyone knows her in RL or has an e-mail address for her?

tomps · 15/03/2005 19:32

sadly baby was stillborn but had probably died the day before I went to hospital so it didn't make any difference that I hesitated before rushing in. I don't feel like adding to this thread at all and I won't be looking at mumsnet for a while - I just wanted to check quickly that shazzyb was OK - but thankyou everyone who's posted for thinking of me, it's so kind of you all.
