What does one wear for induction - nightie ready for it all kicking off, or normal clothes for wandering around hospital in?

Anything else I should add to my hospital bag that I'm more likely to want with an induction?

If the prostoglandin stuff doesn't work, can I decide at that point to leave it, as I don't want my waters broken or the drip?

Would they be able to tell from a scan whether my placenta was still functioning just fine, whereby a few more days wouldn't hurt?

I'll be 40+5, and the induction is because I have gestational diabetes. It's standard practice to induce between 38 and 40 weeks for this, but I've been 'allowed' to go over because my control of it has been good.

I can't belive that baby is still not out CSWS, come on lass!

CSWS I hope you've got a room now. Heard about a 45 min birth today who had been told no room so ended up having baby in scanning room - can you suggest there as an option for STFU woman?

"just had a visit from the in-laws (boo), with DD (yay). we played with a birthing ball + a long corridor - was lots of fun! heard MW's on the phone after and sounds like they are trying to cancel new inductions for tomorrow, so maybe there's some hope for a friday baby. diabetic MW came to see me this PM though and mentioned that they'll want to keep m in for 24hrs after the brith, not the 6 that I had hoped."

"exciting update...MW just been to see me to say goodbye as she's off for the night, but her parting shot was that it WILL be tongiht. Don;t know what time yet, but will let you know more once I hear more!"
