How's your fanjo after having kids? Tighter or looser?

I've just been on this thread:
here where a first-time-mum-to-be is worried because her DH wants her to have an elective caesarean so as to avoid postnatal fanjo flapping and ensure they continue to have a rich sex life.

Yes, I know.

So can you help her out by saying what state your fanjo's in now? Hopefully this highly scientific straw poll will prove this man wrong!

I'll start: tighter.

Mine feels the same to me, but my DH actually thinks its better. Just do lots of pelvic floor excersies after the birth (and before)

orangehead · 17/05/2008 22:05

mine the same too. However would like to add my stomach is a complete mess after my section 6 yrs ago still numb in places and very digusting overhang that wont go, that probably has done more damage to my sex life, however my vb 4 yrs ago not affected it

PinkTulips · 17/05/2008 22:13

looser but in a good way, was so tight before that sex used to be painful alot of the time and was difficult to get dp (or previous partners) into my fanjo on occasions. can have sex in lots of new positions now

dp says he hasn't noticed any negative effects, apparently he was bracing himself for the worst and was pleasently surprised

Lizzylou · 17/05/2008 22:14

Much tighter, had two Episiostomies and they did a v good job

duchesse · 17/05/2008 22:17

Definitely slacker, but not so much due to 8lb12 oz first child as to the weight gain since the third one I suspect- I think I am generally less toned down there now.

FrannyandZooey · 17/05/2008 22:20

dp says he can't notice the difference
god he is a total philistine

zazen · 17/05/2008 22:20

I have a lot of internal scarring from a section, which makes sex really painful. Have had it 3 times since the birth 4 years ago... ouch.

Hope the poster with the ignorant DH is reading this.

Walnutshell · 17/05/2008 22:21

3rd degree tear.

very lazy on the pelvic floor front.

dh claims no difference.

he may be lying. I doubt it.

or has massive attributes. ahem.

expatinscotland · 17/05/2008 22:22

or maybe he's just a man with a big, erm, heart, Franny .

ingles2 · 17/05/2008 22:33

I think it's probably looser but dh says
he can't remember
but it's not about the size it's what you do with it....
Haven't I heard that somewhere before.....

ingles2 · 17/05/2008 22:34

sorry snorting with laughter now...
dh says
if it's that big you can always move onto the arse

ignore me...
I'm pissed

Greensleeves · 17/05/2008 22:36

ingles stop snorting and inform your other half that he is a revolting beast

ingles2 · 17/05/2008 22:40

I'm still snorting...
but I agree he is revolting.
luckily it's just in is head

Greensleeves · 17/05/2008 22:41

in his head... but that's even filthier

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 17/05/2008 23:01

Hmm - well put it this way...

I need a moonbucket not a mooncup.

Poohbah · 18/05/2008 20:36

Ha Ha Ha.. Moonbuckets...

I wrote about me bits on the other thread.....but when I got my mooncup I discreetly chose the Over 30 and have given birth vaginally large size only for the man in the shop to ask out loud whether I got the right size A under 30 and no vaginal birth or B over 30 and had a vaginal birth because I wouldn't be able to take it back!!!! [would blush but felt that man was well intentioned so didn't really care]

Twinkie1 · 18/05/2008 20:41

Just had mine redesigned and is now akin to one of a 17 year old apparently!

amytheearwaxbanisher · 18/05/2008 20:54
