im ashamed to say that yes i did poo when pushing my daughter out which i might add was simply mortifying!!!.im gonna say it was beacause my daughter was in the back to back posistion (just to make myself feel better )but the truth of the matter is when your told to push as though your doing a poo its inevitable that its gonna happen.ooh the shame

Bumper, I only posted cos you were here first, no way was I going to admit to such pooing shenanigans unless you'd come clean (no pun intended) first.

You're at an advantage when we meet btw, thanks to the wiki at work you have a fair idea of what I look like, whereas thanks to your profile here I only know what your right breast looks like.

Yep. but quite normal. I have a few frinds who didnt even realize they did but their very nice husbands told them afterwards

< Holds up hand > Guilty as charged.

I hate that bit. Even though I'm in the throes of intense labour I still feel embarrassed and can smell poo and apologise to dh and the MWs.

DCMB here is a pic of me to help you recognise me.

Ok hijack over!

I am pretty sure I didn't with ds1. I woke needing a poo, got back to bed, 15 minutes later, needed another poo and after the 3rd time, I realised I was needing to go with contractions. I was well and truely empty when I got to the hospital. With ds2, labour came on suddenly and unexpectedly. I don't think I poo'd as there was no changing of pads (except after my first exam where my waters broke simultaniously), if I did, it was not mentioned to me by midwives or dh. After reading this thread, I am actually more scared of it happening with this baby.
