Awwwww, calm down, if it is early labour there is not much to do but sit and wait. Could she manage a walk out anywhere?

How exciting

chrissnow · 14/03/2008 11:58

Feed her now while she can still eat. Make sandwiches/snacks for later on. Make sure hospital bags are packed. Bake cakes and nice meals to freeze for when she is back home with baby and can't be arsed to cook.
How very exciting.

Kimi · 14/03/2008 11:58

How early? Did you call the midwife yet?

chrissnow · 14/03/2008 11:58

God I'm boring and practical aren't I?

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 14/03/2008 12:00

Divvy did you used to be called something else?? Can't remember the other name.. whose DD was preggers..

Good luck to you all esp. DD

Lulumama · 14/03/2008 12:04

do nothing at the minute

get ready thought, bags packed etc as has been said

potter around, stay mobile, enocurage her to eat and drink and go to teh loo.. her body will let her know when she needs to concentrate
just be with her

micegg · 14/03/2008 12:14

oooh how exciting . Good luck to your daughter. I dont know if you will be there for the duration but my mum was with me. The best thing was that she was so calm and encouraging.

Divvy · 14/03/2008 12:18

No always been divvy.

Given her breafast and she is in the bath now, as i made her come out of her house without having one!

Just so she was here, if things stepped up, and not on her own.

Contractions are 4 mins apart and lasting for just over 1 min.

right off to have food myself.. i will need my strength for later!

ok, keep us posted ! if she is coping at home, then great !

FAQ · 14/03/2008 12:56

lol you know what Divvy I would happily babysit for you BUT I've got my interview at the Job Centre re my IS application this afternoon.....at 1.20 and have a friend coming over to look after DS2 and 3 while I'm there - she'll be bringing her 3yr old with her and although she's a mum of 5 (and a grandmother too ) I'm not sure she'd be too impressed by an extra baby to look after LOL

Divvy · 14/03/2008 13:28

Its all stopped now!!!

We are going for a walk after lunch!!

FAQ · 14/03/2008 14:58

oh no!!! get her running up and down the stairs

chocolatespiders · 14/03/2008 15:54

just posted on your other thread... wishing you all the very best

Divvy · 14/03/2008 17:48

Nope, nothing! But she isnow saying that she feels different down below, so maybe it has started something!

She has gone home now, but under strict instructions to phone if ANYTHING happens.

I now feel as fedup as she does!

i dont think the bath stopped labour, as if it was labour, nothing would stop it.......surely?
