I have been having period like pains and backache since friday evening, last night I had an hour and a half of really intense contractions every few minutes, that suddenly stopped, had a few this morning as well, but now back to the period like pains and backache, how long could this go on for?

Good luck, spugs!

My due date today, and all still quiet-ish with me ... have GP's appt this morning, so maybe he can give me a clue. Wondered if things were beginning last night - severe period cramps, that are still here a bit this morning, but no real progress ... Ah well, at least it means I can finish the giant bar of dairy milk that's in the fridge!

this thread cracks me up more as time goes by (she said as smug recent graduate).

talk about a watched pot never boils! here's betting everyone gives birth in 24 hours and run the doulas ragged into distraction

GOOD LUCK ONE AND ALL!!

I won't have the laptop after tomorrow.

So you lot had better get a bloody move on!

nezelette · 20/03/2008 11:06

Hurray for spugs! Hopefully it's all moving on swiftly! Also had MW who didn't believe my waters had gone. Baby born few hours later. It can be quick that way!!

T2M · 20/03/2008 11:28

Fab spogs keep active and don't forget your carbs.

(Gets the birth ball out and settles spogs on it)

spugs · 20/03/2008 12:18

bugger all happening now!!!! watrs still leaking but contractions have stopped is this what they mean when they say difficult 3rd babies

MerlinsBeard · 20/03/2008 12:24

Angua...i keep checking this thread for news because you started it and feeling alittle guilty that i hijacked your thread and graduated b4 you did

Spugs...get twiddling those nips! (in the words of DP)

Mars...you really are VERY busy aren't you?!!

VictorianPASqualor · 20/03/2008 12:35

Come on you lot, hurry up!

I feel like I can't expect anything to happen whilst you're all hanging on

Have had the most annoying backache and ctx since about 9pmish last night but I just know it isn't labour

Just wanted to ask about your plugs, has everyone had a proper show? I seem to have had a ton more dischargey type stuff over the last few days and wasn't sure if it was normal, never had it with DS, it's not smelly or anything, just being accompanied by the backache wasnt sure it meant anything.

Good news from JFly:

Griffin Arlo Edward arrived via emcs at 2.23am. 7lbs 11oz. In nicu as precaution for breathing but should be back with mum and dad later today. Mum a bit sore and tired but ok. Both should be home by Sunday.

Hurray!

MarsLady · 20/03/2008 16:24

I thought that the full moon was on the 6th?

LoveAndSqualor · 20/03/2008 16:24

jammi/VictorianSqualor (hello, fellow Squalorite, btw!) - I've had the lots of discharge thing too, was wondering whether it was A Sign too (though am - wishfully - interpreting everything as a potential sign at the moment ) ...
