Hi has anyone any advice please
Waters went on Monday evening but wasn't contracting so was sent home for 24 hours I returned to the hospital and they put a pessary in 30 hours after waters had gone and I was 3cm dilated it got taken out at 2.30am this morning but apparently there are no beds on delivery ward I haven't been checked since to see if things are progressing just given tablets for the pain as my contractions are now 5 mins apart I cant stand and can't sit down because of the pain but no-one seems to be interested how much longer will they leave me 😢

Lougle · 03/10/2021 18:12

I hope you manage to get some rest and your lovely daughter recovers quickly from her infection. I also hope you get some answers quickly about whether she has DS, so you can get a plan in place for her.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, and I had meconium in my waters.
I had sepsis and my baby had hyperthermia, both need iv antibiotics. Incredibly frustrating when it likely wouldn't have happened had they got me to
Delivery and moved things along sooner.

I hope you are ok and you are home really soon

Brollywasntneededafterall · 03/10/2021 22:32

Hey how is baby getting on. I had a similar experience. My boy was born nearly 2 days after waters broke and contracted septicemia. We were in hospital for a week on antibiotics. X

Llh1979 · 05/10/2021 18:49

Hi all
She has just had her last lot of antibiotics at tea time so 1 more blood test and hopefully no more she spent last night in neonatal due to developing a wheeze but they arent sure what caused it but shes still feeding well and the doctors have said she was teaching the other babies in neonatal how to cry as she's loud haha possibly home tomorrow xx

Lougle · 10/10/2021 10:20

Great news all around. Well done for sticking it out in hospital ☺️

timeisnotaline · 10/10/2021 10:25

I’m glad this ended well! And that you have the strength to ask for a debrief, you were left too long after your waters broke, so I’m relieved it’s all turned out. And a surprise girl GrinGrin

Everly18 · 10/10/2021 11:08

Great news, glad all went well with the test and your now home ❤
