Clitoral piercings

There have been other threads about how much preparation needs to be done 'down below' with regard to hair removal/tidying up etc. The answer of course is none except for personal preference

I would like to draw attention to the above topic thread. After once again having to fiddle about removing a clitoral ring last night prior to delivery, I thought I would highlight it here. There is a risk of tearing during childbirth which can be made worse where there is a metal object! Although no-one can make women remove them it is something to think about.

Anyone had any experiences? Did you leave it in or take it out?

LMAO!!! excellent!! I've got to get my friend onto this site. She only has 1 child who lives with her parents in grenada but she would love to read this!! Her x - and a very good friend of mine and my dad's used to have a Prince albert but now wears it as an earring lol!!!!

when I had my belly button done I asked the guy about piercing down there (just to chat about something - like you do) and he reckons most women don't even flinch as it's done, less painful than the bellybutton, not gonna try it though.

if he linked his ear/nose ring to his nipple ring and in turn linked to his prince albert he could give a whole new meaning to tossing ones self off. sorry just popped into my head and had to share the thought!

I am 18 weeks pregnant and have 2 piercings down there! I haven't taken them out yet and don't wish to! But I guess I have to! Does anyone know the best time I should take them out??

I don't know how I missed this thread. Daren't click on any of the links....

I'm with sally, SamCattie - take them out now, while you can still reach! Don't make your poor midwife do it!

SamCattie · 29/12/2004 14:59

Ok will do! I know you will all laugh, but it's making me feel sick the thought of doing it! Still I would rather get them out now than have my grumpy midwife do it nearer the time!!!!!

Not at all. I had them done about 4 years ago and one was uncomfortable for about a week after but the 2nd was fine! to be honest I have forgotten they are there. Just trying to psyche myself up to take them out later when I get home!!
