Clitoral piercings

There have been other threads about how much preparation needs to be done 'down below' with regard to hair removal/tidying up etc. The answer of course is none except for personal preference

I would like to draw attention to the above topic thread. After once again having to fiddle about removing a clitoral ring last night prior to delivery, I thought I would highlight it here. There is a risk of tearing during childbirth which can be made worse where there is a metal object! Although no-one can make women remove them it is something to think about.

Anyone had any experiences? Did you leave it in or take it out?

Did you girls know that for a piercer to pierce a males parts they have to wank to get it hard??? One of Dhs friend has one and had to go downstairs and get hard before the piercer would do it!!!

pinkmama · 02/11/2004 22:44

My friend's partner had his willy pierced - she said it gave her the same sensation as silver foil on fillings!!!!

zephyrcat · 03/11/2004 09:35

never knew that bit - not sure if that makes it even worse!!!

Furball · 03/11/2004 09:41

You'd of thought that somebody comming at you with whatever they pierce your knob with would make it want to invert back into the body, never mind stay hard!!

mieow · 03/11/2004 09:44

its because if they pierced a soft male part, it would tear when they got.....emmmm..... hard!!

mears · 03/11/2004 09:59

Thank goodness my lady in labour only had one piercing unlike some of those pictures. I could have been there all day taking them out

I showed the website to my DH and we've just stopped laughing/cringing!!! was getting fed up of talking about being 7days overdue so this amused us.

zephyrcat · 03/11/2004 12:22

you never know - some of those pics might help you along!!

Blu · 03/11/2004 12:35

Mears: I have a friend who was a mw. One of her homebirth Mums had rings through her labia linked with a padlocked chain. Despite numerous warnings to take them out / keep them unlocked, the inevitable happened, the woman went into labour early, and the key was in the posession of the DP, who was miles away. (He was a musician and apparantly famous, though my friend was very professional and wouldn't tell me who - so don't ask!). She called a locksmith as back-up, but managed to cut the chain with strong pliers before he arrived.

Blu - aarrrrggghhhh
