How soon after birth did you do the deed?

Exactly that really, how long did you wait after having your LO to have sex? My DD is 4 weeks, I think most people wait 6 but is that compulsory? I don't think I can manage another 2 weeks lol! but I don't want to do myself any damage as I had quite a nasty tear, anyone else have a similar experience?

DD we waited about 4 weeks as I'd had a tear and wasn't comfortable before this.
DS just 2 weeks, only had a graze and was comfortable so we went ahead!

2 years here. Had a fairly easy quick birth too. Unfortunately something happened immediately after DD was born which took my a very long time to get over. I went into shut down and didn't want or trust anyone to come anywhere near me.

7 weeks or so which felt the right time

Bleeding lasted about 4 weeks

Had an elective CS

DC1: (episiotomy) about 4 months
DC2: (episiotomy, terrible birth) years
DC3: 2nd degree tear, not doing td until DH has had vasectomy.
Genuinely amazed that anybody feels like having sex within 6weeks postnatal. But hey, good luck to you...

Because I know you're all desperate to know we had a test run and I bled like mad so we're having to lay off for now! Argh

Damn...I so wanted it to go well for you. Oh god that sounds creepy and overinvested.

Oh no I think it's very sweet thank you, it won't be forever. I'm sure I'll be all healed in no time :)
