Did anyone give birth on their due date?

So the odds of it happening are 4% or 1 in 25 births.

I don't know of a single person this has happened to.

If you had your baby on your due date, what time was it? And was it your first or subsequent babies? And was your due date fairly accurate - were your periods regular?

I'm wildly interested because TODAY IS MY DUE DATE!! For baby number 2. My periods are clockwork & before my 12wk scan I'd worked it out to be 6th Feb. So not holding out too much hope. Plus my first baby was 2 weeks overdue.

Bah.

Yes DD first baby was due on DH's birthday.
I fully expected her tobe on time and she was Smile

Me with dd1. I was induced though, although the process began several days earlier.

Nope, my first was 2 weeks late, was due yesterday with number 2 and no sign yet!

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 31/01/2016 13:44

Yep dd was born 5.55 am on her due date. Contractions started at 2am.

I did with my dc #2, he really wanted to share his birthday with his nan, very quick labour Grin

WhatILoved · 01/02/2016 07:21

Yes me! But periods not regular. First twinge 5am out at 1pm. He is quite a precise little boy and likes routine to this day. I am a very unorganised person though

I did with my third 20 years ago. Woke up with contractions early morning. He was born at 3pm. Was chilled coming up to that date as felt it was the day he was least likely to arrive. Was induced two weeks early on first two due to complications with my first so never knew if they would have arrived on time. Doctor decided to leave induction third time. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

Me - my waters went just after midnight on my due date and DD1 was born at 9am

thestylethatdecadesforgot · 01/02/2016 07:44

Yes DD3 was born on her due date but DD2 was 4 days early and DD1 was 3 weeks early, I had regular cycles but didn't manifest it in arrival times!

zannyminxoxox · 03/02/2016 08:34

I didn't but 2 of my friends did on her due date

sausagepoo · 03/02/2016 08:39

Both mine were born on their due dates. 7am and 6am ish. They are not so good at timekeeping now.

Scattymum101 · 03/02/2016 22:35

First baby was 40+4.

Second I made my due date the 5th of February last year and scan said 7th of February. She was born on the 6th. Can't believe that was a year ago.

DramaAlpaca · 03/02/2016 22:36

My mum did with me, and two of my SILs had babies on their due date.

tellmeofthetime · 03/02/2016 23:21

I did with my fifth !
DS1 37 weeks ish
DD1 41+1
DS2 40+1
DD2 39+1
DD3 waters broke at 5am on due date, born at 09.45am
And a work colleague who had been given exactly the same due date as me for her second baby gave birth on the same day. Cue me wandering down the postnatal ward with her wandering up it and those immortal words 'what are you doing here ?!'
