.. and counting. MW forecasted our son to arrive on the 28th. The closer I get to that date the harder i find it to move, and the pain in the pelvic area is becoming excruciating. Heartburn has increased in intensity too Sad I feel pretty crappy although DH is a complete angel >.< and I feel SO tired -_- are these signs of impeding labor? i don`t have a show yet and the bump is quite normal ( although sometimes harder than usual ).
->feeling exhausted.

Went to consultant today expecting to get a sweep, am now going in tonight for induction beacuse of gedtstional diabetes. Cue panic, thought I was ready and now thinking of ten million things to do. Funny to think ill leave home tonight and next time I'll be back with a baby. I'm so nervous.

okeydonkey · 27/02/2015 15:58

Ah good luck Nutella. Look forward to hearing your amazing news.

Way2Tired · 27/02/2015 21:09

Had my baby yesterday at 39+5, same as dd1.

The cramps I posted about the night before went off and I woke yesterday with an unmistakable contraction, it's funny how you forget and think every cramp could be a mild one when in fact they're nothing like the real thing Smile

It shocked me how instant it all was, the first two were 5 mins apart and we're coming every 2 minutes within an hour.

I came to hospital, was 3 cm and expected it to be rapid however she had other ideas and I ended up having her after 14 hours of 6 contractions per 10 minutes, it was relentless.

She's a little Angel though, so content and loves her food.

Good luck to everyone having their babies in the next few days.xFlowers

okeydonkey · 28/02/2015 19:02

Aw congratulations!! Enjoy the little one.
I think I'm looking at a March baby. Having a bottle of beer, ??. Might spur labour on

Way2Tired · 28/02/2015 20:21

congratulations dogsmom! all the best to you and lo :)

as for me .. 40+3 today and nothing -_- i am horrified i will end up being inducted on the 9th as they scheduled me.

ZombieZoo · 02/03/2015 23:22

I've had to NC but wrote previously (OD).
I'm 40+1 today. Achey left hip but no other signs, if that is a sign.

Way2Tired · 03/03/2015 10:42

40 +6 today. no sign .. unless being a cranky PITA is one -_- all my life i hated waiting... and now this is all I do >.<
ZombieZoo , how do you handle waiting?

OP posts:
ZombieZoo · 03/03/2015 12:49

I'm not sure I am handling waiting. What's making me feel like I can wait is that I have a worry over coping with 2 in nappies. But at same time I do feel I want to get on with it.
I've been offered a sweep tomorrow, unsure if I'll take it as it only works if you are going into labour already, so for me seems a bit unnecessary.

Way2Tired · 03/03/2015 13:20

i already had one sweep and nothing happened -_- the only reason i`m going for the 2nd one friday is because i heard induction is way more painful ( and i seem to be a coward ).

something odd i noticed .. i can't feel the taste of food anymore. i eat , it's ok, but i dont feel textures and flavours no more. i woner what's up with that..

OP posts:
ZombieZoo · 03/03/2015 13:35

Oo is induction more painful?
What do they do for induction ive not had one before.
That's very odd, do you still have cold?
I've got a cold and food is not tasting as good.

3littlebadgers · 03/03/2015 13:53

Just found the thread, 39+4 here and very impatient. Don't worry about induction too much. Ds2 was induced, when we lived overseas, no pain relief what so ever, not even gas and air and confined to bed on backs only, no rolling to the side! Although it was 10-12 hours of agony (mostly in my back due to position) I honestly couldn't tell you if it was more or less painful than my dc1 or dc3. I think it is just a bit different because of less of a build up.

ZombieZoo · 03/03/2015 17:00

Wow 3littlebadgers sounds hardcore. I found lying on my back in the ambulance for 20 mins awful! I needed to walk about

Wow 3littlebadgers sounds hardcore. I found lying on my back in the ambulance for 20 mins awful! I needed to walk about through previous labour

Way2Tired · 03/03/2015 20:58

at this point I'll take anything to have our son out already. i am at the point where i can't start anything or do anything cause I worry the baby will arrive (like ..for example go to the corner store or meet up a friend -_- ). my grumpiness is still here >.<
and yes, still have the blasted cold, i cough my lungs out pretty much day an night ==. i can feel myself falling into the paranoia jar --

Hoping not long for you!
I don't know what to do for tomorrow, to sweep or not to sweep?

Way2Tired · 04/03/2015 09:44

i hope you went for the sweep. how are you holding up?

OP posts:
ZombieZoo · 04/03/2015 12:14

My appointment not til 2.50pm. I'm not driving anymore so luckily DP coming with me

ZombieZoo · 04/03/2015 12:26

Feeling more energetic today! (A sign maybe, although EVERYTHING with me is a sign this week)

ZombieZoo · 04/03/2015 20:56

I declined sweep. How's everyone feeling?

Way2Tired · 05/03/2015 18:48

second sweep tomorrow at 10:45 for me. no particular signs our LO wants to come out -- . drowning crankiness in sugar overdrive. i feel so tired all the time -- induction booked for monday anyway so one way or another I am having this baby Wink

OP posts:
ZombieZoo · 05/03/2015 20:07

Gd luck for sweep tomorrow.
I am going to have acupuncture induction at 42+1 and 42+2 if I'm still feeling ok about leaving baby in there. MW will monitor me every other day if I refuse induction on 41+3 (next Wednesday) but will see how happy baby is and me too,
I'm very dubious as I don't really agree with my dates. Initially dated 12th March then changed due to scan to 1st March.

Way2Tired · 05/03/2015 22:01

your dates situation is so complicated :S i hope whichever the right date turns out to be both you and baby are well. we are today at 41+1, and I am getting a tiny bit antsy worrying for him.. DH is hoovering too although he doesn't let it show. i wish i had a fast forward button :)

OP posts:
ZombieZoo · 05/03/2015 22:46

It's so odd waiting for the day, it drags now. Feeling like pregnancy lasts forever. The in-laws are having my LO tomorrow luckily! A day on sofa for me thinking everything is a sign !
Hope sweep goes into labour for you

Way2Tired · 06/03/2015 07:29

i hope so too, thank you... although i confess i woke up with a ball of fear in my chest -_- i am scared of labour.
