I'm 7 days overdue now. I do feel ok, other than being a whale! But am going slightly mad waiting. Every little feeling I'm wondering what was that!. Anyone else?! I've had a show and occasional cramps and back pain. Nothing else. I've also had a sweep and am half ready apparently! Cervix not hard but not soft either. I'm really hoping I'm not induced but am trying to be chilled about it. So excited to meet LO the hours are dragging! This is definitely a mindfuck Grin

Hi another. I'm joining in - only a day overdue, but feel like I'll be in for a long game. Lost my jelly-like plug yesterday but haven't had any contractions and waters seem to be in tact. Really would love to go ahead with the water birth so hoping to go into labour naturally and avoid induction.

It's such a pain waiting. Just feel on tenterhooks all the time. Also, would love to be able to bend over and be able to sling the Uggs as far away as possible. Oh to be able to wear any other shoes!

Let's just keep thinking positively and keep scoffing chocolate and hopefully our little babies will come out very soon.

MollySJ · 06/01/2014 13:39

40+9 here and booked in on Weds for induction so at least have an end date in sight. DS went 40+12 then induced and so was hoping to experience an exciting natural start this time (anyone else long to have the waters going gushing experience?!) but it seems I'm just too darned good at being pregnant! Must be cosy in there!

TobyLerone · 06/01/2014 18:53

I'm 40+1 and I've never not been induced at 2 weeks over. This is DC3 and I'm desperate to go into labour by myself!

No show, but contractions which are more painful than BH every now and again. Sometimes once an hour, sometimes 5 or 6 in an hour. This has been happening since Friday, so I'm not getting my hopes up! Always in the evening and through the night, too, so sleep is pretty hard to come by.

Being overdue is shit, isn't it?

TobyLerone · 06/01/2014 18:54

And yes, Molly! I really want my waters to break dramatically!

Nokkie73 · 06/01/2014 19:07

Hi all

Can i crash the Party ? I am also 40+9 and have been booked-in for an induction on Friday. They were going to leave me until Sunday until I whined a bit a lot to the midwife today. What is everyone else doing to encourage their bambinos to come out ? I had a sweep today but it seems to have done sod all so far.

LottyLikesWindows · 06/01/2014 19:18

Went for a long walk with a hope that it might get things moving but other than making my back even more sore and giving myself a stitch I did not achieve anything.

I know that being 40+1 is not as bad as some of you but I'm already fed up.

Nokkie73 · 06/01/2014 19:28

Yeah, a long walk sounds great in theory but I couldn't think of anything worse with a. My hips as they currently are and b. This shitty weather !

LottyLikesWindows · 06/01/2014 19:54

nokkie you are wise to stay in. The only positive is that I am knackered and hopefully I'll manage to sleep tonight rather than staring into mumsnet pages space in the middle of the night, suffering with pregnancy insomnia..

Nokkie73 · 06/01/2014 20:30

Oh GOD don't speak to me about the preggo insomnia !

LottyLikesWindows · 06/01/2014 20:37

It's the pits! Was up from 4.30 this morning. So glad I'm on maternity leave now and can just go back to bed at 9 or whenever my body crashes and burns. I take my hat off to those of you who have to look after children and don't have the luxury of lazing about.

TobyLerone · 06/01/2014 20:40

Yep. Im awake for the day by about 4.30am every day. This morning it was 3.30.

LottyLikesWindows · 06/01/2014 20:55

My due date is/was today. Absolutely feck all happening other than that i feel tearful and grumpy. This is my fourth and all 3 before have come in the week before my due date. Currently feeling like im going to be pregnant forever..... Im also not looking forward to school run tomorrow and everyone asking if ive had him yet :(.

Have tried curry and long walks over the last few days and bounced on my ball like an idiot.

Good luck to everyone

TobyLerone · 07/01/2014 05:01

Well, this morning I was up at 1.30am. But then my waters broke an hour or so ago, so it wasn't entirely disappointing!

MollySJ · 07/01/2014 06:59

Can't believe after yesterday we were saying we wanted waters to pop you go and do it!!! Good luck and contracting vibes from me despite being very jealous of dramatic waters gush story you now have under your belt

LottyLikesWindows · 07/01/2014 07:12

Go Toby! great news! Here's to a speedy and fairly pain free birth. Wonder who'll be next to dramatically break their waters...

anotherbitofcake · 07/01/2014 08:01

Hoorah!!

MargotIris · 07/01/2014 09:38

Me hopefully!

Two days over with number three but one and two were early. One with dramatic waters, one with waters the contraction before the head and this one is completely different from the others so I have no idea what to expect.

I've thought it was all kicking off about three times a week for five weeks now. I'm a wreck!

With the other two, when it started - it finished. It's all very confusing Confused.

Katja122 · 07/01/2014 10:11

Can't believe as I was registering to join in the 'overdue' thread Margot has basically posted my exact story!

Number 3 is now 5 days over, and 1 and 2 were the same as Margot.

I've thought something was happening since before Christmas and still nothing. I can identify with so many of you-hip pain and insomnia etcetc.

My due date waccording to LMP was 8th but scan said 3rd so I happily went with that and presumed it would be early. No such luck!!

So pleased/envious of the lady whose waters have gone!

TooTryHard · 07/01/2014 10:30

On the plus side Katja, their birthdays are moving into slightly less rubbish territory. And we can shop for them in the sales.

Midwife explains it away as this one being a lazy boy Grin. If continues being this relaxed once it's born I'll be very happy.

Katja122 · 07/01/2014 10:48

Oh yes such a good point-my own birthday was a week ago and I always hated it.

Plus my first two are 90 miles an hour just like their Dad, so if this one likes to sit and read like me then I will be happy!

On the other hand I have a suspicion he's late to be awkward (and he's back to back)!!

TobyLerone · 07/01/2014 11:00

Well, it's pain-free currently because nothing is happening!

Katja122 · 07/01/2014 11:02

Just tried another one to add to raspberry leaf tea/bouncing on ball-have a toddler distribute a packet of cheerios over the entire downstairs of your house (they obviously refuse to help 'tidyup').

To be fair it hasn't done much except make me feel lightheadedlightheaded so I will probably still need my sweep tomorrow :D
