I'm 7 days overdue now. I do feel ok, other than being a whale! But am going slightly mad waiting. Every little feeling I'm wondering what was that!. Anyone else?! I've had a show and occasional cramps and back pain. Nothing else. I've also had a sweep and am half ready apparently! Cervix not hard but not soft either. I'm really hoping I'm not induced but am trying to be chilled about it. So excited to meet LO the hours are dragging! This is definitely a mindfuck Grin

Oh wow Toby meant to be! Same due and birth dates. Congratulations on your baby girl and really hope you're well. I preferred the labour stage to the pushing. Was apparently begging for epidural and CS as the baby's head was crowning looking at her chubby cheeks now, I understand why!

How's everyone feeling today?

Katja122 · 10/01/2014 03:32

Hi all,
I had my baby boy at lunch time yesterday-this time a ginormo baby after being told he was a tiddler! 9lb7. Went into labour at 10 and he was born at 12, my word that was a painful two hours. At least he had successfully turned himself.

Good luck to everyone, my opinion is the S and S got me going so push for it (pun intended).

TooTryHard · 10/01/2014 06:02

Great news Katja! Impressive size Grin.

I've been awake all night waiting convinced something was going to kick off. I had a how yesterday om and tonight, baby really dropped and went quiet. And again.....nothing!

Just tired from no sleep. My lovely friend is whisking dc2 off for the day though so I'll be going back to bed.

LottyLikesWindows · 10/01/2014 09:21

Wowsers Katja congratulations! That's a great size! Also starting to believe I have powers... Just knew you'd be next. I predict another will follow you next Grin.

How are you and baby doing? Im so impressed how quickly you managed to deliver him. Hats off lady.

How is everyone else doing? Sending you lots of speedy labour vibes! Toby how are you? I'm still in hospital - baby Ivy has jaundice Sad.

TobyLerone · 10/01/2014 13:22

Congratulations, Katja, you are surely some sort of warrior woman to manage that!

That's rubbish, Lotty :( poor you, and poor Ivy. Is she having phototherapy?
We're all good here. Came home yesterday lunchtime. We've decided to call her Meredith. The midwife's just been to visit. Apparently she's a tiny bit jaundiced, but I can't say I'd even noticed, so it can't be that bad.

namechanger1979 · 10/01/2014 13:50

Wow lots of exciting baby news.

40+5 here. Nothing at all happening. At about 38w i was waking every night with contractins and having to pace around. However feck all happening now. although midwife said yesterday all in right position and ready to go. Stretch and sweep will be on monday...... Hoping i dont need it. Ive never been overdue before and i was hoping for a homebirth. Not looking forward to being induced if it comes to it.

However house has never been cleaner as i dont want to go too far from home!

Katja122 · 10/01/2014 14:24

Thanks all. Considering my other two were 7lb3 and 7lb6 I can tell you that was a different experience! Can't imagine this one has put on 2lb just by being a week overdue! It must have been all the mince pies --and chocolate an
d cake and roast potatoes-- I've been eating!

We have had to stay in another night because baby (maybe Jacob or Louis-undecided...) Has a heart murmur. They are quite reassuring and he's really well but still it stops you in your tracks.

Thinking of those still waiting, my cousin is coming to visit in a bit and she went 17 days over with her first, that must be really rare! Keep going on exercise balls. Oh and all three of mine have come within 24 hours of a show so fingers crossed!

Katja122 · 10/01/2014 14:27

I don't really understand jaundice-my first two both were and everyone kept saying how wonderfully well they looked. Hope baby Ivy is improving-'put him/her in the window' I heard so many times!

Unimaginativecow · 10/01/2014 14:33

Congratulations to all with their new bundles!!

40+8 - had stretch and sweep this morning. Dreading having to be induced as I have an irrational fear of drips! Still that's not till Wednesday so still time!

LottyLikesWindows · 10/01/2014 15:19

Aaaww Meredith is such a beautiful name. Well worth the wait. Ivy's bilirubin levels are slowly decreasing so I'm hoping we'll be able to go home if not this evening then tomorrow. She's feeding well and still happy with breast milk even though I had to introduce formula milk from last night, to help flush bili out.

Name and unimaginative - you sound exactly how I felt on Tuesday. If someone told me that only a few hours later I'd be in full blown labour and my precious gas and air would be taken away so that I would start pushing, I would have laughed in their silly face. All I know is that when it happened, it happened quickly and I did wonder why I ever thought it never would. Childbirth is a total mind fuck!

Good luck everyone. Can't wait to hear all the good news on here. Where are you another? fishing to see if my powers of prediction are the real deal

LottyLikesWindows · 10/01/2014 15:23

Oh and Katja I'm totally with you - all the Christmas food and treats have a lot to answer for when it comes to these chubby babies [grins]. I've eaten my weight's worth of Lindt chocolate balls.

anotherbitofcake · 13/01/2014 06:28

Congrats to all new babies! I too have a LO Freddie William 7lb 10. He's perfect and worth the wait! Good luck to you all still waiting x

Well done another, big congratulations! Wonderful name and size. How are you and the baby getting on? I was definitely on a roll there - you were next Grin.

We're at home finally and really enjoying our lovely baby.
