Hello! Im 40+4 today, not quite at the fed up stage as this is my third, and last PG so I am savouring it! (quite difficult with 2 DD's running around making me stressed!).

Any signs? None from me, have had a bit of cramping on/off the last couple of days but thats all. Irritability for no reason but in a surprisingly good mood today and have had a good clean of the house and caught up on all my washing horrah!

Enjoy your last few days of bump-hood to anyone hanging about and hope baby is with you soon!!

Hi, technically not over due, as I'm only 37+6 but at 31 weeks we were told baby would be here by 35 weeks and to prepare ourselfs for a stint in scbu and a very small sick baby.
I am very greatful I don't have to go through all of that, but after gearing up for an early baby and being told she would definatly be here by 35 I now feel over due!!

I'm so uncomfortable and just fed up of being pregnant, I can't sleep at night due to regular bh pains that are constant through out the night, team that with insomnia, rib flare, pgp, siaticaand a teething toddler I am exhausted! I'm looking forward to having the baby just so that I can get some proper sleep.

I need to go shopping (just tried to do it online and got so very very confused!) And really don't want to negotiate the supermarket with said grumpy toddler. I may have to resort to bribery!

Sorry for the mini rant and off load, hoping your baby is with you very soon

Klinda · 20/01/2012 14:37

Its my due date today so although not over I am thinking I am defo going to go over as not feeling likes its going to happen today.

This is also DC3 for me so hoping all will be plain sailing as have to park the kids with friends while I have the baby and really don't want to be waking people in the night.

Really looking forward to having baby as fed up of being preggars now and soooo tired of everyone being amazed that I am still moving/taking children to nursery despite being so preggars (no other option really! How I miss the idea of actual maternity leave when you could have a nap and stuff!).

Good luck anyone else waiting for babe to arrive, lets hope this weekend brings a flurry of babies!

DawnOfTheDee · 20/01/2012 15:17

I am 41+6. Starting to think of the bump as less of a baby and more of a cojoined twin. Please send sympathy and cake and wine and biscuits this way. Thanks in advance Wink

((settles down in the corner wrapped in a blanket of self-pity))

PreggoEggo · 20/01/2012 15:45

Sorry to hear you are all fed up! :( I was really fed up with my second PG (was 12 days late and chasing after 21 month old at the time so was in tears all the time!). But this time round, even with my other two- 3.5 and 22 months Im feeling OK so far (OR perhaps more anxious about the labour!!! )

addicted that must be hard being told to expect something then sitting idly by, BUT good news that your little one is growing well inside you :) Have a nice cup of tea, can anyone watch your LO for an hour or so and you can put your feet up? You have my sympathy!

kilnda im also doing the school run, taxi service etc and never get to sit down! it is exhausting! All my family live over 2 hours away so I seldom get much help. Im wondering if it will be easier or harder with another one!!! I remember when i was expecting my first, i was off work for 6 weeks!!!! and i complained at how bored I was!! i'd do anything for a DAY of putting my feet up, how lush would that be?

dawn hope baby doesnt keep you much longer :( just think you'll deffo have it in 8 days time if they induce you at +14! then all this will be behind you. They want to induce me at +12 but im not keen as i want a home birth. Sending you lots of sympathy and some biscuits i bought today (which were for the midwife -I bought 2 packets for my home birth and have eaten them BOTH! oink).

I am also 40+4 fed up now, especially as my other 3 were all early! You all have my sympathy... If my MIL rings again and asks if there's any sign I'm going off on one!

TheOnlyWayIsEnfield · 21/01/2012 10:25

I am 41+2 and really fed up too. Getting sick of well meaning people asking if baby has been born yet.
Biggest worry is being induced, which I have always been nervous of and is now looming, as have been booked in for that on Tuesday. Can't help but have feelings of doom regarding induction and how nothing I had in mind for the birth will be able to happen as a result. Have had 2 sweeps, booked in for another on Monday, and trying really hard to give it positive mental attitude, but keep dissolving into tears, which is not very helpful.
Off out for another walk, yay!
Good luck everyone!

PreggoEggo · 21/01/2012 13:07

Hope baby comes before your induction theonlyway, mines booked for a week today and seriously am not keen. Midwife rang today and said I can go in for a sweep tomorrow (oh sounds FUN!)

Thanks! Good luck to you, too.

TheOnlyWayIsEnfield · 21/01/2012 16:02

Trouble is, with all this walking, bouncing on ball and staying active, if I do go into labour, will I have the energy?!

addictediam · 21/01/2012 16:29

Theonlyway that's what I'm worried abour, today i took dd to the park, went on the swings and see saw with her (a great way to get contractions going!) I'm now shattered after running around after her and all i want to do is sleep, but ive been having cx since we got home (nothing too regular), so can't sleep as it hurts too much! Now dd is wide awake after her nap i won't be able to sleep until bedtime and if these Cx get closer/stronger and actually go somewhere I'm going to be too shattered to give birth :( its like a never ending cycle

PreggoEggo · 21/01/2012 17:04

ooooooooh but exciting though addicted that things may finally be happening!!!! you'll find the energy somewhere, our bodies do the most amazing things!! (and a good excuse to eat lots of sugary things for energy!)

Klinda · 21/01/2012 17:42

Oh just logged on to see if anyone else overdue has gone into labour to give me some hope and looks like addicted might be the first to go, hurrah and good luck.

Feel bad complaining cos I am only one day over but feel like an oven on the blink. Everyone seems to expect the ping, doors open on due date but I mean really HOW often do people actually pop on due date?

Good luck everyone sending going into labour vibes into the ether.

addictediam · 21/01/2012 18:15

Oh I'm not convinced this is it I've been having these pains since 31wks and am just so fed up with it, they get to 5 minutes apart and very strong then it all just stops.

supadupapupascupa · 21/01/2012 18:22

hiya

i'm 40+1 and had a sweep yesterday. really really fed up because it is unlikely to work.
on the one hand i want this pregnancy over, but on the other i'm dreading the birth (had induction with DS 29months at 38weeks due to distress / polyhydromnious).
i look dreadful, have no energy and have just had enough!

mamarara · 21/01/2012 18:38

Hello may I also join your club? 40+1...come on baby. Must have had a million texts/FB posts asking if 'there is any sign yet?'. Sigh. Dd was 6 days late though so settling in for a few days.

Good luck to you all and hope your babies all just pop out nice and soon!

mamarara · 21/01/2012 18:39

Also a friend sent me this which did make me chuckle haveyouhadthatbabyyet.com/

supadupapupascupa · 21/01/2012 18:58

Grin ha love the link!

mamarara · 21/01/2012 19:13

:)

roseum · 21/01/2012 22:06

Can I join in? - late too (40+6) - though in my case am relieved as until about 2 hrs ago car was broken (thank God for mate who fixed it) and I have been ill in bed for three days with really heavy, stinking cold, which made it really hard to breathe - was dreading being in labour in that state. So have been sending baby "stay where you are" vibes for the last few days. Suppose need to change the message to "how about Monday?" now as hopefully will be over cold by then.

I do feel like a pot that is being watched to see when it will boil, as getting loads of "have you had it yet" type messages. "Yes, that's right, arrived days ago, we thought we'd keep it secret from everyone" Hmm

PreggoEggo · 22/01/2012 09:05

how is everyone this morning? 40+6 for me today and Im thinking of seeing the midwife at the clinic later for a sweep (having a battle in my head about the whole thing, do i really want one???). didnt work for DD2. went for a long walk yesterday and had more cramping last night and baby was in such a wriggly state we were convinced last night was the night. Nope.

roseum being ill is awful, i caught a bad cold when i was overdue with my DD2 but i didnt go into labour until i was better. This morning i have woken up with a sore throat and runny nose! PERFECT! Thanks to my DD1 and DH for sharing. So am hoping I will have this baby in the next day or two before the cold takes over.

Going to check out the link now! Then have my shower and attempt to shave my legs before seeing the mw...

Morning, pains didn't go anywhere, they just stopped.
Good luck with the sweep preggo (if you decide to have it)

owl13 · 22/01/2012 11:52

40+4 with DC2. Annoyed that first stretch marks appeared when 40 +1!
Hoping to avoid induction....

PreggoEggo · 22/01/2012 12:17

been swept! Blush wasn't too bad (just reeeeally uncomfy). As i've had two babies before the MW wasn't overly excited that i was 2-3cm already as apparently your cervix doesnt close up properly ever again. Oh the waiting...!!! We are planning another long walk this afternoon but tbh i just want to snuggle on the sofa with some hot choc and watch trashy movies!!

sorry to hear nothing came of the pains addicted :(

owl- that is soo frustrating about the stretch marks!! though i am like a tiger with mine from DD1, the things us women bear.

mamarara · 22/01/2012 15:34

Hello!
Well done on the sweep preggo, fingers crossed it chivvies things along for you. dh just tried to have a feel and if there was anything going on. After a few uncomfy minutes of rummaging he finally piped up with 'what am I meant to be feeling for?'. Sigh. Otherwise am booked for a sweep on weds but not really up for that.
Hope the rest of you are feeling ok and in labour! Boo to the cold roseum.
