ive seen adverts for this on fb. they claim to be able to cure anxiety in young people. im suspicious - and nowhere does it tell you the cost. however im fairly desperate since my 16 year old is very disabled by anxiety. thanks

I think it is hard for someone who has not attempted to use them to raise concerns to TV programmes based on a gut feeling. It needs to be the dissatisfied parents or their advocates. Raising concerns to regulators would be another matter thought I guess.

I think this is the thing, it seems "off" and unethical but if we haven't used the service how can we prove that 🤷‍♀️

I just feel bad for those parents getting sucked into this out of desperation.

trading standards are investigating. can only challenge them on unsubstantiated claims eg '100%cure' which has now disappeared off the website.

Are they registered on Companies House? I wonder what their annual returns show...

channeltwo · 12/06/2021 15:49

No exact matches on Companies House... I wonder why Hmm

One doesn't have to wait until the are duped for this to be investigated. They have targeted the whole country not just those on this thread. How do we know if they are satisfied customers out there or not. BBC will determine if this warrants investigation or not. Let's leave BBC to use their judgement. Carol is not registered with the HCPC professional body for Psychologists and Art Therapists nor the body for Psychotherapists. Which is key. She cant just practice without the right qualifications either. Which is worse. She is not accountable hence she can do this. Genuine therapists will give their credentials and professional body on their webpages or social media.

GoodButNaughty · 12/06/2021 17:24

My therapist friend reported them to local trading standards...

GoodButNaughty · 12/06/2021 17:33

-sorry I posted too soon before-

She has also reported anonymously to HMRC for potential VAT fraud and contacted BBC Watchdog directing them to this thread and giving them my friends details (she has used the service and is very unhappy!).

Also reported to ASA (Advertising Standards) and so this may be why the ‘guaranteed’ word has been removed.

I posted that I was on a mission to support my friend and help ensure that no one else is caught up in this unscrupulous business and that’s exactly what my therapist friend and I are doing. Sorry not to have updated the thread before now. Things have been super busy for me.

Keep your PMs of additional information coming to me please as these have been so valuable and useful - let’s see what else changes positively!

GoodButNaughty · 12/06/2021 17:37

Unfortunately gullibletwo I believe she can practice as psychotherapist is not a protected title and she is using her NCFE training as her qualification and credibility.

Good that is brilliant, it sounds like you've made great progress!

GoodButNaughty · 12/06/2021 18:27

channeltwo I have all their company registration information- further up the thread I’ve referred to it. The limited company is called Tomwill holdings limited.

I also have an email address for Martin as well as their home address, which is also publicly available information.

Their last published accounts are for a period which does not include the YCFF ‘success’ so these figures are not reflected as yet.

Believe me when I tell you that I have a huge file of information ready to pass to any interested (and reputable) investigative group. It will likely be my friend who used them though who would pass it on. She has agreed to get involved with an investigation so long as she remains anonymous. I’m so proud of her Daffodil

JungleMum40 · 12/06/2021 18:30

2 weeks in, ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I have no words apart from I am absolutely shocked at what the hell is going on in this thread, now you have told people not to promote, however EVERYONES opinions are of value, but not when you are potentially causing harm to people by diverting them away from this and from the help that they need! I don’t know what is going on, I’m disappointed at you mums who are still continuing to use such inappropriate information? I have also been asked to be quiet via message, so I think reporting on no basis bar a bad experience is disgusting utterly disgusting, this is life changing for children who have no where to turn and you are trying to shut it down on no factual evidence that it doesn’t work? I’m not going to tell you how well we’re doing because it is only up from here because even if I say my piece it is a waste of time and will get torn apart by you mums. How can you sit here and genuinely think you’re doing the right thing by slating people and telling them to basically Shutup, you say what you like about my paragraph, pick it apart, report it to the bbc but at the end of the day the only ones you’re upsetting is yourselves.

GoodButNaughty · 12/06/2021 18:34

Oh dear - once again Jungle - you are not getting it. I’m not slating anyone apart from Sam and Martin and I personally think your posts are just adding to my opinions about those who do find the formula appropriate... Confused

JungleMum40 · 12/06/2021 18:42

@GoodButNaughty I don’t find your opinions or you silencing me to be at all helpful or at all, you haven’t tried it, you are speaking on behalf as a friend I however am going through it so now this is personal to my family and my daughters recovery. I can finally see some light et the end of a very turbulent and dark tunnel I’m not having you mums take that away from me. As I have stated if you don’t want to do it, don’t no one is forcing you, but I’m not being silenced when for us this is a life saver.

JungleMum40 · 12/06/2021 18:49

@Soontobe60 why when I have started this as my family give you 3 bits of advice ? When you have been nothing but rude to me on here ? There is NOT 3 pieces of advice I can simply give to you because it is a commitment, it’s extremely different from CAHMS as we have all agreed they are absolutely shocking, these lovely people have given me hope, as I said there is not simply 3 pieces of information that I can give to you to you as my daughter is going through it not me. All I can say is go and try it for yourself.

GoodButNaughty · 12/06/2021 19:44

I am not trying to silence you Jungle - please do continue to contribute this thread with your posts which (for me at least) add heavily to the support for why this is an unscrupulous company.

I’m simply doing my best to support my friend and (now due to many PMs!) many others who have not spoken out for themselves against the Robins approach to business and support for vulnerable teens and families (for various reasons). I will continue to do what I feel is right to do and you will not silence me.

I’m getting far too frustrated for a Saturday evening so I’ll step away for now as it’s been a long and challenging day.

TeenMinusTests · 12/06/2021 19:56

Jungle I am pleased you feel it is working for you.

As you have chosen to return to this thread, I do however wish you could manage to be a bit more factual and a bit less emotional. You are gushing about how wonderful and life changing and hope giving it is, but not yet giving any substance as to how they have done it, or even what has improved for your own family.

Of course you don't have to, you are welcome to ignore the thread entirely or just keep popping back saying how wonderful it is and how unfair others are being, but it really would be the best way to counter people's skepticism.

@TeenMinusTests I am really really happy to share my experiences with you, However it is a 8 week process and cannot simply put into a paragraph, I know you are skeptical but as every family is different, you do receive a hell of a lot of support for getting through this, life is very short and I want to see my DD happy as she was before this so I cannot simply put that on here as you do not live in my house to see the positive change, if you’re struggling which I know many of you are, this is not the way forward. I think the biggest change for my DD is that she actually has just come down from her bedroom and been able to sit and chat with her family, it’s little steps but it’s definitely the right way of moving forward instead of getting pulled back. I will provide more ‘factual’ information when I have seen my DD improve even more than she has now. Im just very sad that people would want to take this away from children who are so greatly suffering.

TeenMinusTests · 12/06/2021 20:01

Jungle I think it is incorrect to say that Mums using the formula have been silenced. People are asking for information from users like yourself, but not getting it as it is too difficult or complicated, apparently.

JungleMum40 · 12/06/2021 20:03

@TeenMinusTests I hope the bottom one helps, I have been pmd privately to be silenced, is any of you would like to see that? It’s just awful my DD has been suffering for years and little baby steps is more than I could ask for at this point.

TeenMinusTests · 12/06/2021 20:06

x-post.
Jungle I am really pleased your DD has come out from her bedroom to chat. That is the kind of level of detail I have been asking for. Smile I hope it is sustained.

My DD finished her limited GCSE assessments on Monday and went into a shop on Wednesday. 3 months ago we though she might not manage any assessments at all as she had done no independent work since before lockdown.

JungleMum40 · 12/06/2021 20:09

@TeenMinusTests Honestly, she has been told for so long its mental when it’s not, she has been waiting for so long to be told she is not in a labelled box bless her.

Im so happy for you, they cannot seem to concentrate but I am learning why this is now and it all makes complete sense, I hope you sustain this as well, well done to your DD.

TeenMinusTests · 12/06/2021 20:23

With DD it is a mixture of psychological and physical. The game changer has been getting anti-depressants right whilst simultaneously having counsellors to talk to and space away from ongoing stress and trauma.

JungleMum40 · 12/06/2021 20:27

@TeenMinusTests well this is fabulous, and if working then even better! My DD did not want to talk nor did she like taking tablets, this formula provides help for all of this, I completely understand where you are coming from and hope with whatever route you choose it works for you. I think the stress and trauma has actually come from bullies at my DD school. But the people at YCFF are definitely helping her as well.
